I do love this time of the year when we look back at the plastic of the past 12 months. It was a tough list this year but I went with the figures that I had the most fun with.

Fellow Magnus fan here, for all the same reasons. I have a fuzzy rule about not getting more than one version of a character, and my absolute favorite version of this guy, despite all its faults, is the original KFC Citizen Stack. But this Studio Series UM ... boy, it's making that rule a hell of a lot fuzzier. Absolutely sublime.

Cool list. Lots of big bots and they budget and price tag to accentuate their desire to own. Any small bots that surprised you. Maybe a 11-20 entry? To me those weaponizers from Beast Wars were fun hand candy. Very interesting sculpts, ok paint, and they had some fun gimmicks for transformation. Surprising little dudes and dudettes with Airrazor. I love SG Sideswipe too. He and SG Hot Rod is a kick azz two pack. The Transformer collaboration with GI Joe is a guilty pleasure. Love the Dinobots. Eagerly await Swoop. The G1 Insecticons are cool. Antagony is a sweet repaint with a nice extra accessory. 1st appearance Jazz is sweet. Was Devcon this year? I can’t remember. If so he’s in my top ten. Wish he had a Slizardo mini buddy. Anyway Transformers were pretty good in 2023. Oh yeah I really liked the Jurassic Park collaboration too with Jeep and spitter Dino. The weaponizer Junkions are cool too. Anyway. Fun.

I did like those weaponisers, the primal and Airrazor never came out here though. I also can’t wait to see swoop. I also quite liked freezer and will probably get Novocain, but not top 10 liked.

I dunno what it is, I like her vibe but just don’t love the execution. Ship mode is off chops though

Love a good end of year list and this one didn’t disappoint! I agree primal and Magnus are incredibly satisfying figures but am curious what people think about the head articulation for the former and head size for the latter. In robot mode primal’s head can’t look up much but if it could (which seems pretty doable and to me similarly frustrating to wfc ss megatron’s leg articulation - needlessly hindered) it’d add so much more enjoyment to the figure. As for Magnus, I can’t figure out if the shoulders are just too wide period or if they could look proportionally normal if the head was slightly bigger. Regardless they are still both so fun to mess around with. I’d also like to shout out dying ironhide who I believe has a better head sculpt and superior paint, as well as mini or beachcomber - these figs might not be best of the best but are defs underrated

I really like how broad Magnus is. I like it when you look at him and wonder if he could take Grinlock. I think more figs should have molded neck so the ball joint can have more clearance

Great list mate, agree with gi joe Soundwave the concept and the fact he is a real chunky toy makes him amazing. Magnus was my number 1. Happy new year.

Nathan! Always love it when I see that Ham come up. Couldn't agree more with the Magnus side of things. I'm currently debating Hotshot making my list. What did you think of him and was he close on yours?

My dude! Long time no type! How you livin? How’d the move go? He gets nostalgia points and the powerlinx version gets accessory points. But he he’s a bit like de-shelling a prawn. It’s doable but is it worth it?

That's a pretty darn good top ten if I do say so myself , I for one have not been able to get the 86 Ultra Magnus yet and it probably be sometime before I do but from what , I have seen , he definitely looks like a great figure also I noticed the Nemesis is not making it on any top tens , I have seen so far and now here is my top ten transformers for 23 . 1: LE Armada Optimus Prime 2: LE Javelin 3 : Haslab LE Deathsaurus 4 : Legacy Dragon Megatron 5 : LE Tarn 6 : Armada Megatron 7 : SS Optimus Primal 8 : SS 86 Snarl 9 : LE Nova Prime 10 : LE Leo Convoy Now the reason why Javelin is above Deathsaurus is definitely not because she a better figure : No not at all , Deathsaurus beats her hands down but I'm a sucker for unique robot design and fir Javelin is very unique in her design not just for an autobot but for a female Autobot as well .

@@HamManReviews see here's the thing about Kaskade , she is so low on my list between all the figures I owned between Legacy , Evolution and United that Holi and Fire are higher on the list than her and they like to exploded every time I give them a glance at them and I still like those micromasters at least but Kaskade no one likes her current figure at all .

@@HerohammerStudios To be fair this is the best version of the Armada Hot Shot we got to date , I mean his original figure was a brick and the universe version was just a floppy mess .

I like the powerlinx version but I just didn’t find him to be much fun. Hopefully a cybertron version is better
