Nat Nugget They’re suggesting the majority of the burger, if not all of it- might be made of TVP. Textured vegetable protein. Many fast food chains have also used this in the past to pad out their burgers! Real meat would be any part of the animal that could be ground up into ground beef. So sometimes “unwanted” pieces, but also tough cuts.

I guess if you're camping and don't want to lug around raw meat that would attract bears or other predatory animals. Or, you could open a canned burger and leave it outside of your camping area. That would probably repel bears, mountain lions, wolves, coyotes, people, Bigfoot or anything else that had an olfactory sense.

A girl I dated in college had a roomate at her apt that would seriously do this. She would fill a skillet up 3/4 with water, turn up the heat, and throw the burger patties in...it stunk like a McDonalds with a rotting cow in the kitchen. She offered us once, and needless to say we turned it down and started hanging at my dorm more often! NEVER BOIL YOUR BURGERS PEOPLE

BIG D Ugh! That sounds disgusting! IDK why, but it reminds me of this channel that a cool Canadian dude set up called Ras Kitchen. Basically, he goes to Jamaica often to hang out with this Jamaican dude named Rasta Mokko, who always prepares a meal for his family and the Canadian guy who visits, using an outdoor wood burning stove. So, to make a short story long, one time he made scrambled eggs. I can't remember everything that went into that skillet, but there were tomatoes and a LOT of water!! He must have cooked those eggs (over HIGH HEAT, too!) for at least 30 minutes (it's a two part video, LoL!) and he had it simmering very fast the whole time. He cooked them until most of the liquid evaporated (although Mokko claims that all the water was absorbed into the eggs, hahaaa!! Now, I'll eat hard boiled eggs, soft boiled eggs, and even poached eggs...but I would almost eat those boiled hamburgers you mentioned before I'd even touch those "scrambled" eggs, LoL!😂
