Pierre coined the saying "Light skin, we making a comeback" . I remember this dude told a story about going to see a sistah and she had him drive through Beverly Hills just to get him to Compton. He was like "Girl, You live in Compton!! You ain't gotta drive through Beverly Hills to find your raggedy a$$ house" 🤣🤣

Pierre didn't create that phrase, comedians from the 80s did. I don't know who exactly created the phrase I heard Paul Mooney said it a few times. But people start saying light skinned is making a comeback in the 80's Back in the day, before any of us where born 30's - 1960's Hollywood gave dark skinned actors roles that where demeaning. Playing Uncle Tom's, maids, butlers and etc Hollywood had light skinned actors who didn't play a maid or demeaning roles People who where light skinned like Lena Horne, Harry Belafonte, James Earl Jones and Dorothy Dandridge didn't play roles that was demeaning. Majority of the time, Hollywood didn't want Blacks of any complexion to play any role, that wasn't demeaning. Hollywood wanted Lena Horne to lie and say she was Puerto Rican, because she was light skinned. She told them no, she wasn't going to lie, she was proud to be Black. When Sidney Poitier came he changed the game, he never took a demeaning role In the 70's dark skinned actors where in demand and they didn't have to play demeaning roles, like Hattie McDaniel did, in Gone with the Wind Diana Ross, Sidney Poitier, Billie Dee Williams, Diahann Carroll, Ossie Davis, Richard Roundtree came they had choices to play blue singers, doctors, nurses, cops and etc They didn't have to play demeaning roles any more When the late 70's and 80's came we had people like Prince, El Debarge and The Debarge's, Vanity, actor Taimak, Apollonia, Morris Day and etc, who where everywhere. In the 80's that's when the phrase Light skinned is making a comeback started because it was so many light skinned entertainers, actors and musician. I remember growing up people, lying and faking trying to be look like Taimak, Prince and etc People wearing Jheri curls, saying it was naturally curly and colored contacts, saying they had Indian in their blood or Creole 😅
