I like this. This AMV gives a good representation of Ayato's mentality --- his willingness, his manipulations and sharp wit. Going towards any lenght to eliminate all form of unbalance within Inazuma's political world. His ruthlessness --- he'll spill blood against any enemy that dares to stand against his goals. Anything to protect his nation's stability and dear family. And yet beneath that smile, you can see his vulnerable side -- his duty as clan leader cast a heavy toll on him, physically and mentally, and if he ever stumbles --- his mask will crack. And when everything is said and done. The elder Kamisato finally tears the mask from his self and step away from the darkness. Shredding all burdens aside, his human side blooms again. He allows himself to be Ayato. Smiling gently at his younger sister, spoiling Paimon with food and hanging out with the Traveller, walking amidst the warm sunlight of spring. Kamisato Ayato is a man of multiple façades, able to wear any mask thast fit him --- but nobody is able to see through _the real him._ His methods may be morally questionable and many may think that he is goes too far, but his goals are ultimatly noble. He is a good man. However, the loss of his parents, dealing with power-hungry figures and forced to throw away his freedom --- Ayato has learned from this trials, that noble actions alone can't change the tides of any situation.

Damn I just feel so bad for Ayato . . . he and Ayaka were both forced to grow up so fast, especially him, seeing as he had to take care of her. Ayato pretty much sacrificed his childhood to make sure the Kamisato clan stayed in power, and he's been forced to do some really shady stuff, including organizing the Shuumatsuban, to keep that power. Stuff that no one else will probably never know the extent of, not even us as the player. I just hope that he'll be able to relax and be happy for once now that the Vision Hunt Decree has been lifted because he deserves it so much and DAMMIT I'M CRYING OVER A FICTIONAL CHARACTER AGAIN.

The way he's always exclaiming that "Aaaah" sounds either like a normal enjoyment sound or it could be a relieved person's sound, like a small sigh. Could be this the same? Ayato is literally a mastermind, bro was the one behind the scenes getting the resistance to tenshakaku, and he even outsmarted the fatui, risking his reputation for his sisters sake, if he were a villain he’d probably predict our every move

most players say his story quest is boring, but for me it's not. ayato in that story quest amazed me on how he handled the situation, neatly strategized.

Absolutely amazing. It perfectly captures the cunningness of Ayato as well as the lengths he is willing to go to for Inazuma and his sister alike. But it also acutely shows his struggles with what he is doing sometimes as well as his troubled past - basically, that there’s a human behind all that brilliant scheming. And the editing, the art, the music… my god, it is incredibly well done. Hats off to you!

To the point of practically BREAKING himself inside, he has had to ruthlessly manipulate or kill others in order to survive and protect himself & his sister. From kid to adult the pressure mounts, then the Traveler arrived and bright a welcome change. FINALLY Ayato can take a breath and his worries eased. A terrible policy that would doom him & his sister by taking their Vision was revoked and his sister now has a friend who has no other motives or loyalties to worry about. Such a person can also become his friend and he can RELAX now. Smile for REAL now. No Breaking!

I always attached to a fictional character who's hiding their manipulative and dark side, but use it for the sake of what they protected dearly. I genuinely believe that Ayato is more of a gray character and even if it's not Canon I won't stop to think that. I don't think he's evil but I genuinely see him as someone able to do anything for what he wants and I to protect the things and people he care about, even if that might hurt his sister (emotionally not physically), I genuinely see him as someone who would put himself and what he wants first but for the sake of the people he cares about. Ayaka is the one acting in the open, interacting with the people and pretty much the face of the Kamisato Clan. Everyone loves her, Ayato acts in the shadow so it's hard for me to think that he's not doing some shady bussiness behind his sister and Thoma's back. I know that it's not Canon (at least for now) and it most likely won't be but it makes Ayato character way more interesting than simply accepting his parents death and being all happy and cheerful. He was a kid when his father died and he had to take the role as leader of the Clan, the stress plus grief while being forced to be strong for Ayaka so that she could grief and get consoled by him can make him end up being either someone who now accepted that and swear to protect those he cares and in a more pure way or a more selfish way and I feel like the second fit better with his story, behavior and appearance even because there are already a lot of pure kind hearthed characters so I need a bit more of twisted characters even if they aren't bad, actually it's better because not all good people are 100% good people. In short, kinda like Ei wanting to protect and keep Inazuma the same but wrote better. Don't get me wrong, Ei character story isn't bad but it's badly written in my opinion. It makes sense that her Trauma caused that and the people of Inazuma to suffer because she was way too strict and protective in a way, however everyone simply forgave her and treated her as she was the only one suffering so much so her actions were justified. Now in more recents updates they are actually making people react better to Ei presence (by making them scared and unsure if they should approach her in the first place) but it still doesn't really make it better how they dealt with her at first. Everyone wasn't scared of her during her Story Quest (not the Archon Quest), they felt like it was a honor to see the Raiden Shogun and while it is after who knows how many years of her barely being seen they should have still have been made more scared/unsure than euphoric and accepting. Anyway, the point is that I definetely love this twisted good/"hero" version of Ayato and the balance of Ayaka being the face of the clan and the purest one while Ayato act in the shadows and is more shady etc. He would collaborate with bad guys and 100% betray them after he got what he wanted or even kill them then arrest whatever group of bad guys was there without leaving any clues of his connection to them and even if someone found something or suspected of him Ayato would 100% get rid of him and find a way to make it look like they just moved away or something because of some illegal stuff. Even Yae can't read him at all, and she's pretty much the same as Ayato however he seems to be smarter than her (confirmed by Yae herself) and I feel like he might be even smarter and more strategical than Kokomi because he's unpredictable/unable to read. Kokomi and Yae too are confirmed to share the same level of intelligence and understanding, so if Yae can't read Ayato then most likely that's impossible for Kokomi as well.
