I have the same exact model. Also purchased it from Mayors at full retail as you, this year. Definitely a beautiful piece. The strap is pretty great once you break it in. I want to put other straps on it eventually, but the quality of the original is just so good. Enjoy it. I know I do mine. 👍🏻

I have the 38mm version and it is indeed a fantastic watch. This piece along with my Khaki Field Mechanical in White are my two favorite watches. They both have me considering selling off my other watches and just keeping these two, along with my Casios.

Yeah, as soon as the 38mm mechanical is back in stock, I'll be grabbing one. A couple of Hamis and a couple of quartz Casios... good call.

That IS a sexy dial! I’m very picky with leather too. But this strap looks like it would be killer with a couple of years under its belt!

Stunning watch! I'm thinking about treating myself to this once I get my promotion, but I have a 38mm Seiko 5 right now and I think it's the best watch dial ever created. Oh, man... what should I do!? Does anyone here have the Hamilton Khaki Field Auto 42mm? Should I go for it or would it be a waste of money since I'm already in love with my Seiko 5?

Beautiful, I have the khaki king and love it. The only thing I don't like it the lume. Very weak

Haven't really had a chance to take it for a spin in the dark. Years ago, while I was in the infantry, it was common to charge your watch face for a second with a flashlight. I'lll be happy if the same works on this one.

I just ordered one. Those straps are solid leather. Just need to be broken in.

The only letdown is the stiff strap, I wish the leather was more supple. My AVI-8 Kent and Hitchcock automatics have excellent leather straps that are very comfy straight out of the box, and those are nowhere near the brand stature of the Hamilton Khaki.

It's an awesome watch and probably better than the Khaki King, but the Khaki King is always my pick when it comes to this series. Just love the dial, the day date layout and the overall look of that one. 🙌

I have both the 38mm Khaki Field Auto and the Khaki King. I like them both, but the 40mm King (49mm lug-to-lug) is just a tad big for my 6.25" wrist. I like to set my watch to the second every morning, too. My Khaki Field Auto tends to run just a little fast. I can hack the watch until the computer or cell phone catches up, then start the watch again, easy-peasy. My Khaki King loses about 4 seconds a day. I have to hack the watch, set the minute hand ahead one minute, and wait for 50 seconds or so until the cell phone to come around.

@@johnnelson9252 In the end I went with the Khaki Aviation Red Bull Air Race as I got a good deal on it. So I didn't get the King but I'm really happy with the Air Race, got all the upgrades I missed on the King. Better lume, great AR coating and an incredible bracelet. So the third option won. 😅

@@RebootADude Ha, thanks a lot for confirming. I heard it has something to do with calibre type, H10 or H30. One does have it and one doesn't. But not sure.

This really is an awesome little watch. If you like that one, I will suggest you check out the watches from Marathon. They look similar to these, but I do not have any experience with either of them. Hamilton watch always reminds me of the scene in the movie Central intelligence where Dwain Johnson was looking at his to see when the fire sprinkler would go off.

Love it, as I said I have the same one, my first and only Swiss watch, makes a nice change to the usual NH35s etc, just feels quality, the strap if black like the 38mm model would be perfect but just not a fan on brown on black. But yeah the grey one I got from WatchGecko is awesome 😁 enjoy it dude
