Allen doesn't like hearing people say that, I got that from a horses mouth who I can't tell say. I was told not to talk about Hamish Stuart when I met Allen when I was at the Jazz cafa in England. I seriously pissed him off. I saw him a year later in Louisville while I was visiting my hometown, he would not speak to me. I made him so mad in England.

"Average" age of the rest of the band, around 30+. Speaks absolute volumes for the strength and musical validity of Hamish's' life's work and back catalogue...👍

I’m not sure Hamish ever got his true respect and praise from the music world. he definitely is one of the most underrated soul and funk singers of our time.

A blast from the past! All of you were not the Average in the Average White Band! I loved all your music….hated that the band split up. I can understand going out on your own…teaching and mentoring…and being the best!!

He revised the song ,and adjusted it to still be a smooth jazzy ballad!

Hamish you had one of the most amazing unique voices in RnB. I'm sorry brother but it's time you let it rest. I hate having to say it . This new band is tight ! The sax player is off the chain 👏👏👏 . Thank you Hamish for all the memories. I'll never forget you.

You are right but let him do his thing, he's getting old and we must accept that this voice is losing a bit....
@MsNamder11 күн бұрын
In my opinion, partnering with McCarthy did not allow Hamish to keep his vocal cords “exercised” or fine tuned to its fullest and rich power as he had while singing with AWB. He needed to keep at that range throughout his singing career to sound the same. It’s like any other instrument, got to keep practicing and rehearsing at that level to stay strong. A lot of OG singers still got range because they kept up up with their true strength and potential as magnificent musicians/singers.
