It's the same tempo because one recording was adjusted to match the tempo of the other one. I can faintly hear the artifacts that stretching of any kind introduces into the audio. Great idea and implementation, nonetheless, I quite like this version.

This is insane. I’ve listened to this over and over and there are very slight differences in the others, but no matter how often I listen I can only ever hear one set of drums, Roger was on fire.

The tempo comes usually from Roger not from Freddy ;) It's coming usually always from the drummer... if the drummer is off, whole band is off.

Freddie's voice in the 80s was so much deeper, powerful and more macho. It's such a shame that this got cut down by that horrible illness, this is the best they've ever sounded.

error error I have never seen any other singer as studied and performances critiqued . He wasn't the same as he was when he was 29. None of us are. People say that Freddie's last video "These are the days of our life isn't him." What? Because his skin isn't perfect? Because he was frightfully thin? If that is all you can see. You have limited thinking. I see a person stripped of everything, health, vigor and even though he does not look the same. He is beautiful. He throws his arms up and tilts his head back. The light shines on him. He smiles and a little laugh. "I still love you." Freddie.

Mitch Morris Music thank you for your kind reply.. Now that you mention it. I have seen that with other bands. Just not with Queen. I guess I thought they were such virtuosos that the four of them had it covered. I imagine having a bigger budget helps to add another guitar, a keyboard player or the London Ballet!

I mean, given they overdubbed the second night, I wouldn't say he has perfect pitch. Also since his overdub on "CONVINCED our voices" is sharp, I think that's proof enough he didn't have perfect pitch.

I always love how they did this -- I think this might have been like the third or fourth tour total that they hired a touring keyboard player at most, and that might be the reason why, unlike the Stones where you practically never see the camera on Chuck Leavell or Daryl Jones, or Hanson where the bass player is actually behind the curtain on some shows, there's Spike Edney, playing the guitar right next to the 'actual' guitarist. You can even hear him in the mix, which is also nice.

Sorcery made by audio engineers who use devices to stretch one audio to match the other. PS - I love Queen, I began to play the guitar after listening to Freddie and Brian. I used to play the piano before that. Both concerts were great, I saw them, I have all queen records, but there's no magic, the only kind of magic is the magical band.

I don't know if this is "exactitude" editing, or if this is indeed Roger, Fred, etc. "going for it" and the OP simply matched them up. But i have to say i'm blown away by the quality! This is better than blasting two stereos together; and nobody would be able to line up two CDs/tapes on such a succinct manner - considering we're talking about 2x live tapings simultaneously spliced my mind is blown every time i click on it again. Keeping vocals and drums coherently together is a masterpiece to all involved; whether that was separately produced or otherwise

I have both concerts, but they probably made studio arrangements to set the TEMPO to fit so perfectly! Anyway, both concerts are perfect and I love Freddie and Queen.

This is amazing! Is instrumental also dubed, or just voice? The whole song sounds like it's one thing! In part of a second! If I didn't watch it, I wouldn't notice the difference between two nights. To me, this is the best duet in a history of music performance!

I always liked Brian's improvisation from the second night more. It's more structured and not just random stuff. Seems like before the next concert he took a few minutes to come up with something, if not then that was perfect improvisation compared to the first night.

Wouldn't work and it wouldn't be fair, two different years and two different ranges of vocals, 1985 Freddie was more healthy and had more power, 1986 Freddie was more lower and his voice had taken more of a beating.
