Hammock Camping by the Lake: The Ultimate Setup.
Looking for a peaceful escape from the hustle and bustle of daily life? Join me on this thrilling solo canoe camp as I head off to find a secluded cove for the night. In this video, I'll be hammock camping and cooking up some mouthwatering meals by the serene lakeside. Plus, stay tuned as I share exciting news about my upcoming charity challenge to raise money for the Alzheimer's Society.
🔹 Finding Solitude on a Secluded Beach:
Setting Up the Perfect Hammock Camp: Watch as I paddle my way to a hidden cove, untouched by the crowds. I'll show you my tips and tricks for setting up a cozy hammock camp that's both comfortable and secure. Imagine waking up to the gentle sound of water lapping at the shore and the birds singing overhead.
Cooking Gourmet Meals in the Wild: You know me, I can't just go out with dehydrated cardboard food, I have to carry a fridge full of food haha.
For dinner, I'll be grilling up Welsh beef steak burgers that are sure to make your mouth water. And for breakfast, I'll show you how to make a hearty turkey sausage and egg muffin to start your day right. You'll be surprised at how delicious bird sausage can be haha!
If you have never hammock camped or even camped by a remote lakeside then this video might just convince you!
I do hope you enjoy this video, I know I did making it! If you did, please think about giving it a thumbs up, if you really enjoyed it, a sub would be awesome but what really helps me and the channel out is if you can share this video to like-minded people, people who enjoy our great outdoors! After all, it's free!
To stay up to date with the videos why not hit the notification bell, that way you won't miss up and coming prizes but most of all... The new videos each week!

I get my humour from my grandfather, he did the desert, Sicily and into Italy, got pulled out of there before Monte Casino for D-Day. When asked what the desert was like he said 'I joined the Royal Marines to go to sea on a ship, and there I was seconded to the 8th Army on a bleddy big beach with terrible fishing and the only ships were camels'. He raided a German parachute factory when asked about it he said 'I packed as much silk into my pack as I could carry...your gran had the best knickers in Cornwall for years' Buried him in the morning and hit the road in the afternoon to join you in Loch Shiel for the last charity adventure.

Oh mate what a legend he was. That was another fantastic war time story. I'm going to refer back to these stories next year at the same time to feature these in Tails From The Tent. Loved it and big respect to you Simon for saying goodbye to your grandad and then coming to us. Love ya buddy 👍

I grew up on my grandads war time stories . Burned into my very being i heard and loved them so much . One of my faves was of a latrine dug into the ground behind the tents .with a board you could sit on and do you business off into the latrine trench below .one day a geman mechersmit strafed the camp sending every one ducking for cover . After itleft and every one reamerged from hiding .3 guys were found climbing out of the latrine covered in a platoons worth of mess .that put a grin back on my grandads face 😂. No one died thankfully .

Sometimes...things like that are hard to talk about. You've got a good outlet with your online community. Obviously your whole family is incredibly important to you & when they're that important....they can be hard to talk about.....good & bad. Hang in there bro....I know what you're going through but you've got this. Good luck on the challenge. It's about raising money & awareness....but it's also about helping you to cope. Keep those memories of you dad, grandfather, & others in your pocket....they sure come in handy as life goes on. Cheers 🍻

😀👍 Great vid. Love that you guys are taking on another HUGE adventure, I'm very excited, and I'm not even on it 😆 I believe that unexpected emotions are an indication of maybe not having confronted thoughts or feelings before, in a context that someone else might hear them?? 🤷‍♂️ 👍 I do like the wartime stories, from people who persevered them 👍 Where might I find a predicted plan of your route, if I'm in the area?

Hi matey, thank you! Yeah I was planning to go back with Charlie this year as a treat for finishing school, just the two of us but I thought why not get a small group of us and do another challenge and raise a little money for a brilliant cause. Yeah, I don't know what it was if I'm honest, I wasn't feeling emotional at all but when I pictured both my grandad and his mate stuck behind a wall for two days it triggered something obviously. Yes, we definitely need to keep these stories alive and I'll be sharing subscriber stories next year. Yes mate, you can find our predicted route on the Just Giving page. Yeah if your in the area please come say hello and spend some time with us, it would be lovely to see you. Thank you so very much for your kind donation also mate, I've just seen it on the Just Giving page. Thank you!
