Michael Falkenstein ist eine Legende unter Hammond-Enthusiasten. Er hat mit James Brown gespielt und sogar Jimmy Smith noch ein paar Tricks beigebracht!
Vor kurzem hat er uns in der Klangfarbe besucht und die brandneue Hammond SKX Pro Orgel mitgebracht.
Natürlich wollte er es sich nicht nehmen lassen in die Tasten zu hauen, um uns ein paar Groovy Sounds zu präsentieren.

Is that through a Leslie... or is that a simulator in the SKX?

I have a question for you. In your "First Impression " Video of the skxPro, at 2:21 you switch to an Organ setting on the lower manual. I am trying to duplicate that voice but am not able to.. Please help me with the settings, drawbars etc.. Thank you Jorge Garza Houston Texas

Dear Jorge ! I´m happy you like our first-first-impression-video of the Hammond SKX PRO ! This was made absolutely spontaneous when I first tried the instrument at my friends wonderful store in Vienna. Registration sometimes is very hard to hear out but sometimes as it is so simple that you might not guess it: in minute 2.21 I used just 16" + 8" Drawbar in the upper part of the lower-manual no Leslie, no Chorus, no effect. Later on I add C-3 Chorus. Which instrument do you play ? Enjoy the Hammond-Sound ! Greetings from Germany to Houston Texas ! Michael

Sehr schönes Video! Habe meine SKX Pro seit zwei Tagen und ich komme gut klar. Darf ich fragen, wie sie das Audio dieses Video aufgenommen haben (direkt über DAW oder über Mikro und einem Amp oder ganz anders). 👍😎

Wir haben das Audio direkt vom Stereo-Out der Hammond Orgel recorded. Damit wir den Klang nicht verfälschen haben wir auch darauf verzichtet die aufgenommenen Audiospuren zu bearbeiten. (Eq, Comp. etc.)

I bought one of the first ones out last year. It was horrible, unless it was defective, it didn't sound anywhere near this good. Great playing here.

Actually, let’s hear what the internal Leslie sounds like first, as he did, establish whether it’s gotten any better; and then play it through a real Leslie.
