A look back at special freight workings, railtours and other interesting moves throughout 2009 (May to December) around Hampshire and surrounding counties.
Sorry about the slightly bad sound quality, you might not notice it really, just turn the sound down a bit if you do. Unfortunately I can't do anything about it, it's a complicated reason why.
The year was 2009 at the end of May, I was 15 and I had just left school. This is how I spent my summer vacation before collage. I needed something to do and being a rail enthusiast already, filming rare trains in the local area was ideal. This of course carried on until present day however I have moved onto doing photography more now. This is a look back at the special freight workings, railtours and other interesting moves throughout 2009 (May to December) around Hampshire and surrounding counties that I filmed.
So what do we see in this video, well these were the days when we had class 58's on export to France, various liveried class 60's on what were going to be their last days in service and Eastleigh Works Open Weekend in May. We see the forgotten Euroscout, DRS class 20's making lots of noise, 31459 on every test train going and the last class 442 on the SWML! Plus many more rare and interesting trains.
This video took me 7 days to make, I will be doing a 2010 video however I'm not in a hurry to do that one yet. I hope you enjoy my 2009 collection, filmed on my old Canon Powershot SX200.
