Norfolk Naval Shipyard hit its peak in production, upgrade, and repair service during World War II. From January 1, 1940, until the end of the war in 1945, over 100 new ships were constructed at Norfolk Naval Shipyard. Learn more about this important shipyard and its affect on Hampton Roads in this short profile video.
