Can you try a similar installation in a wall made of bricks or pure concrete??

I would test one piece of wood and see. You need to use a concrete drill or a hammer drill.

1x2 slats. The spaces in between is the same spacer, turned on it’s side (approx 1”)

@Hanasdiyhome Hi, i got a question. Are your walls from wood or stone? Because i wanne make something like this design in my living room and we are living in an house with brickwalls

They are framed with wood, and then drywall on top. For brick, I’m not sure. Ask at your local hardware store what they recommend

I like it but you should have colored both sides to prevent warping.

We used polyurethane to seal them!

Don’t listen to that comment. Warping won’t occur unless the boards are getting wet often or they’re under extreme temperatures but inside, they will be fine

The ceiling is 9ft, so we had to get the boards at a specialty lumber shop

It’s totally up to you! We used a coat of polyurethane to protect it.

And hardware store. We used poplar which is a bit more expensive but you can also use pine which is affordable
