Great video Chris! Definitely has my gears turning. My issue with the way you’re doing it is that my brake toggles always jump all over the place and end up wrapped around the risers multiple times. Doesn’t look very elegant but I get where you’re going with this 👍

It's my opinion that hand kiting "is rather crap" , aside from using it to do a cursory check of the lines before clip in. Anything you think it teaches can be taught clipped in, as after all, we don't fly hanging by our risers. I don't understand why a handful of PG instructors waste time with this exercise for some students, hours at a time. Perhaps it's for the showmanship.🤔

It does great for helping build forearm strength, you don’t always have a kiting harness handy, and if you can handle the wing without being clipped in it makes it much easier to handle once you are clipped in. I myself am a big fan of hand kiting.
