Today I'm going to show you guys how I made this wooden and brass outdoor sign. I'll be using reclaimed oak and 1/8" thick brass plate, and cutting the letters on the bandsaw.

turned out great! The only thing I would've changed is to do a black or white outline around the letters. Brass looks great and shines really nicely, but when the whole sign is shiny it gets hidden a little. I love how you cut the letters by hand, I never have time for that so I order Gemini dimensional letters instead so It's really refreshing to see that. Love it!

As always, fantastic work. I actually scrapped a project last week because I needed a zero clearance insert on the bandsaw…never even thought of just making one.

Make a handful of these and then get yourself a cnc so you dont have to cut the letters by hand!! Thats some patience ! Looks great !

Very nice non-CNC video. Probably no reason to make another one, unless the sign is two-sided. Would love to see a CNC version also, but time marches on...

Maybe I’ll do something similar over on my other channel. Trying to stick to mostly non cnc stuff over here on this new one. It would be a good experiment to cut out some brass with the cnc though.
