When doing stuff like this my father always kept an old stove in the shop that we can put stuff like this into to heat it
@FullSteamDesignsСағат бұрын
He just put the whole front end of a car in there so he could heat up engine blocks?

The magnets take away the ding. Or soften it. But i wonder if it also cancels out the bounce back a bit..Making it harder to smif black smif that is lol. Maybe try covering the whole thing with neo dymui. Magnets and get sound proof material for your shop walls. Look up quietest room in the world and try n get that material on your walls. I want to try that to. So my shop will be inconspicuous

If you ever did this type of work and an inspector checked the compressive strength of the concrete it would fail. I hope you aren't doing this for clients.
@FullSteamDesignsСағат бұрын
Sure
@derekwirth21628 сағат бұрын
The real thought is there are too many variables to get those dry pour results and consistent strength throughout the slab. I'd be curious what the strength is on the bottom of the slab and material up against the forms. I'd never do dry pour personally or promote it.
@Sayfeijai9 сағат бұрын
Keep in mind his slabs do not have rebars in it yet for these sample slabs … that’s what I’m assuming. So if you got rebars in , they number may change
@FullSteamDesignsСағат бұрын
I doubt that

Its designed to be mixed thoroughly with water.....dont build a house foundation doing that😅...itll snap like a saltine cracker
@Onewingedangle4221 сағат бұрын
I’m not saying that doing it this way is bad by any means I just feel like I would prefer to use a beam and put the joist on the foundation and on the beam like how houses are traditionally or have been built which is how I’ve done it when replacing joists in old houses I’ve even replaced sections of the main beam or entire main beams and sill plates to basically return the house back to the way they were made….my only concern I guess is that 20 years later you may have a problem or you may not I’m not sure about the longevity of those hangers but that’s just my opinion obviously I understand that this won’t change your opinion or affect the way you do things and it’s not intended to it’s just the way I prefer to do it
