HEY HEY!!!! We get to see Simba for the first time on this channel!!! He is only a few months old.. We play together all the time, this is super important to get him used to being handled and becoming dog tame!!!

Aww! Little tiny Simba's baby belly is just too much for me... it was hard to imagine him as a real baby creature before. Wow, he was so tiny!

They do need uvb I work at a pet store and I’ve had multiple Savannah’s returned with MBD within just a few months (2-6) from at least 4 monitors. If you had a outside pen for him with lots of sun then maybe not but inside you absolutely do always better safe then sorry. And I have a 3 month old savannah rn and I will say yours needs to lay off of the meats your feeding him just a little bit 90% of there diet should be insects and if your worried about him not having enough food do a very small pinky every 14-18 days (for the first year of his life)

Few months? There is no way! I just got a savannah monitor, he is 2 months old, and he is only maybe 6 inches long from head to tip of tail.

@@Animal1Guy awww! I can see why ❤ but you just have more to love on now! You're giving him the best life he could ask for. I know its really hard when you get an animal as a tiny baby and you have to do so much nurturing care with them ,then they grow up in what feels like the blink of an eye for us. I think because we are meant to have that nurture mode for a much longer time when we get that baby bond as humans but those of us who opt for a scaly/ fury child get gipt because our preferred baby develops and grows so much faster than we can adapt to. As I look at my kittens I totally feel you, last year she was just bigger than my phone and learning how to do thing and so prod, she'd meow for me to see if I wasn't already watching, it was precious 💜. Now she's just such a cat, love her, but its not my bitty baby, and, yeah, I'm sad. So, totally feel ya. Baby cuddles were the best, no matter the animal! Why do they grow so fast...❤🙂💔

He looked huge for a two month old. He would have to be like seven months since they’re born in March at least from oh savanna monitors

I have a baby savannah monitor that I've had for 1.5 weeks now and he has refused to eat anything. I'm really worried. I consider myself an animal lover so I just want the best for my animals (I have a blue tongue that is doing well, a dog and pacman frog that are all living in luxury XD) but I am unsure if the savannah is just overstressed and refusing to eat, has a parasite, is dehydrated or what. I have given him 3 baths. I change his water daily. His temperatures are all perfect (basking 130- ambient 85-90, cool 77) and his tank is not as nice as yours but has 2 hides, some sticks and foliage and have some dirt and cypress mulch as substrate. I've been working on getting more substrate, but mine is not that deep. Maybe 2 inches. I realize it needs to be deeper. I have some uvb lighting, a basking light and a CHE for nightime.any ideas?

@@Animal1Guy would you recommend I change anything? I'm concerned if he is dying or if he's just overstressed and hiding from me. I was trying to give him a week to decompress and not interact with him as much. I dont want him to die, but I don't want to do anything "wrong". Is it okay to begin my interacting and training process with him? He might be really shy too, but he hasn't eaten anything (crickets, meal worms, dubia roaches, some blended reptile food) I've left food in there for a full day,and 12hours to give him time and privacy, but he never even attempts to hunt or eat any of it. So I'm just worried and I haven't been able to find any resources that could apply to my situation.

Its a cute area, however my monitor is probably double his size and she (peaches) has a 8'x6' enclosure with 3 feet of burrowing, monitors require a large habitat. We have 2 heat lamps with a UVB and she has a huge water spot because they love to bathe.

I do a mixture of videos. some longer with a lot of info, some shorter where I am more silent so everybody can get what they like.
