It’s so hard to find a simple candy making video, some people talk over or have music which is cool but the original sounds of candy making is just soothing:)

It's also rather hot. If the candy ever completely cools, the sugar will crystalize and the whole thing will harden. I've watch more than a few videos of people making candies like this, and a lot of them will use heat resistant gloves. Of course, if you make this kind of thing long enough, eventually your hands will become numb to the heat.

It is amazing how long the candy stays soft. When I make caramel it hardens within a minute.

what is the white cristilized ingredient? My first thought would be sugar but the whole lot is sugar, so then I was thinking citric acid for a sour zap.
