This is a great video Amy. I’ve been enjoying playing the last minor scale progression you mentioned but Ive been playing 1. 5, 7, 6! I need to hear how it sounds the other way around! 😊

The handpan and there is also a Rav ( I do not know much about the RAVS since I don't have one) are very complex in understanding the buying process. The pan she is using D kurd tends to be the most universal. I started with a D Kurd because I wanted to see what would be the best one if I need to play with other people. Many tutorials have a D Kurd but does not mean you can't learn in a different tone. Hand pans are limited because they are built in a certain scale but that is the beauty of their sound. So you will need to think first what is the reason for your purchase since these pans are not cheap. So questions to ask yourself: Are you a musician? Are you using it for meditation? Did you want to take classes to learn on the pan? How many notes do you want? Many are 8 or 9 notes but there are pans with more notes. Ones that even have bass notes underneath the pan. I have two handspans. I got the D kurd but then since Amy is awesome she had a video that mentions I could get the C# amara to get the other notes that I have didn't have so now I have all the notes within two pans. the scales on these pans can get very exotic so if you are just looking for one and a sound that just resonants with you then you would just have to listen to different pans. If you open her notes you see the handspans she owns so this one should be from the maker "Meridian Handpan" and is a D kurd. I am not from the UK but here is the link www.meridianhandpans.co.uk. Maybe one day I'll buy one from them since she is so awesome and I trust her.
