Handre Pollard WORLD CLASS Performance vs Bristol

Another week where Handre was at his very best in the the Premiership Rugby competition. He truly seems to have found his form again this year, he's been playing some great rugby for Leicester Tigers and had another World Class performance vs Bristol, where he was just great all round, he was excellent on attack, better than usual on defence and displayed an amazing kicking game with another accurate goal kicking display. 2 weeks ago he also had an amazing performance when it was Leicester vs Bath
It's great to see this from Pollard, we really need him to be at his best as the boks play better when he's on form. It also helps because none of the other flyhalfs really put up their hands in his absence, the only on was Manie Libbok, but he is still inexperienced.

Pollard is key to getting our hands again on the World Cup. Boks need him to be in good form. He is very reliable with the boot.

This was one of the better try's I've seen at Welford Road. What an exceptional player he is.

Reliable with boot?? Which Pollard are you talking about? With one good game his now the "key to getting our hands again on the world cup" " he is very reliable with the boot" really now?!! Are you talking about the same Pollard who has cost us a lot of games by missing tackles, failing to spread the ball to the backline, missing kicks, taking crash balls when there is space on the outside. Pollard lacks creativity and fails to control the games, hence why Willie and Faf controls the games. Pollard is not a flyhalf❗❗

He's really found some form over the last few weeks. He took a little while to settle (and for the Tigers to adapt to his style of play after George Ford), but he's been a great signing for Leicester. Looking forward to seeing how he goes in the Champions Cup this weekend.

And to think plenty were criticizing his performance saying he's no longer the man he is, or he's overpaid but forgot this man's talent and what made him be paid so much..Our first choice 10 never left, he'll lead our backline perfect with English Premiership experience

"English Premiership experience" not really a huge benefit, its the weakest of the big leagues. Hence, most of our players stand out over there.

@@lindumusamkhabela1137 I disagree, but that's a whole other conversation. If you look at the current Champions Cup (and Challenge Cup) finalists, the Premiership has the lowest representation. Sure, many of the games are entertaining, but the overall strength of the Premiership is inferior to URC, Top 14 and probably Super Rugby too. Saracens are the only team who can really compete IMO. And look at how poor England have been for the last few years. Premiership is (currently) not sufficient preparation for Test rugby. In any case... I'm glad Pollard is finding some form over there!

@@louisnel1922 nope English Premiership top 4 always goes far in European Championships, Sale, Leicester Tigers, Saracens and Harlequins being the notable ones.. For UK in general the strongest tends to be Leinster to normally go further, English Premiership has more depth in terms of teams as compared to other UK countries combined

That is true, but it is also nice to see Pollard making his tackles. He had a nack of missing easy tackles in the past, so it's good to see him finding form on defence

@@TBD... kolbe is hopefully back from injury before the World Cup squad selection ... also i think the better back 3 would be , 11, moody , 14, arendse 15 willemse ... but if not and kolbe is back , i would rather choose willemse on the bench , cause he can fill 3 positions if needed.

Besides, with his ability to cover 10, 12, and 15, Willemse is too valuable an asset to be starting, especially if the Boks play a 6/2 bench split ... which they will. Also, no way Mapimpi gets the 11 jersey taken from him ... not unless he's got an absolute stinker of a game. Also, Le Roux is far from done, and he's the outside back organizer and secondary (and sometimes primary) playmaker, especially when the coaches shelter Pollard from contact, so that he lasts the whole 80 and isn't winded when he needs to kick.

He’s in top form but would love to see his ability to spread the ball more. I think that was the difference between him at 10 as opposed to Willie or Damian.

Pollard is not a flyhalf. He is more of an inside center. He lacks creativity and fails to control the game. That's why Willie has been controlling the game for the past few years. He misses important tackles, his kicking rate is low, he takes unnecessary crash balls when there is space on the outside. There is a lot more but the bottom line is Pollard is not a flyhalf❗❗❗
