I do think he was contesting legally. However, the states occur and I believe the referee made the right decision. A red card wars certainly justified. You can see him only concentrating on the ball as he goes up he realize that somebody ahead of him.

Great video, however i disagree that the wales + italy offences are the same. The italian player made no attempt to go for the ball wheras liam williams clearly had his eyes on the ball the whole time and just mis-timed the jump. I get your point though and i have definitely seen worse examples of the same thing where i do think its inconsistent. The yellow card for the hand off was a disgrace though.

corruption , and biased . the referees , linesman etc all do as they are instructed and controlled by the order. the orders are directed from the governing body and all those under the governing body obey that governing body regardless of disputes on field or off.... the game is biased because of this corrupted hierarchy.. =money . profit ,control. =. corporate ownership .the sport does as it is told. the officials do as they are told. the media do as they are told. players do as they are told.and so do you.

Referees are not robot and think that if you can replay the game in slow motion, him, he can't.... The education of the Players is essential, as you say, they are pro in an international matches.

So your whole premise about it being a ruck then means that the Italian player has played the ball whilst on the ground after a ruck has been formed, either way it is either not offside because the is no ruck or the Italian player has played the ball whilst on the ground as part of a ruck. Try not to be too biased and looking for something that wasn’t there

Punish the referee? That was yellow every day of the week. If you lunge for the ball with one hand and don't complete the intercept, you know you are either getting penalised or yellow carded. All fault with the player.
