did you have trouble installing and getting it up and running, I've had such a difficult time with this, you would think they would have a much more simple way to set it up

The nucleus is a great library but, Ark 1-4 is more professional. The great thing about Nucleus is the price which you get tones of great-sounding orchestral library,

Dirk, if you could have either Jaeger or Nucleus, but not both, which one would you choose please and what would be the reasons for your choice? Thanks

Jack, it really depends where you see the needs for yourself. Nucleus gives you an all in one solution in terms of basic orchestral palette (with both classical and modern more trailer oriented sound) straight out of the box. Jaeger gives you way more possibilities for sound shaping because of all the mic positions and of course more content in the sound design department and the solo vocals of Merethe.

Dirk Ehlert Dirk, thanks for the reply and great info. BTW, I meant to tell you that I enjoy your walkthroughs of new libraries and your Cubase templates. I have many of the same libraries so I take a special interest. I meant to ask you are the Nucleus soloists also in Jaeger? Thanks again.

@@jackmeginniss6327 The nucleus soloists are not in Jaeger. I think nucleus is better if you don't have many other libraries. Jaeger is better if you very specifically need a powerful sound and solo vocals.

Cole Peterson Thanks for the comment. I do have a lot of orchestral libraries, but I ended up buying both as I see that each have something significant to offer that the other does not.

Hey Dirk, wondering what you think about the strings in Nucleus. That is more my interest...would you say they're good for cinematic mock ups? Are they different than CSS...and what other string library would you say this resembles...other than Jaeger. Thanks!!

Definitely different than CSS and more suited for a little more aggressive tone imho.

Do you ever find yourself having to use the “Shift/Octave” Jets on the keyboard to be able to use the entire range of the certain instrument you’re using? Sometimes at the very far left of my keyboard is barely in the middle of the blue area and I get confused on how to access the entire range of the instrument such as a cello or lower brass area

I actually use them all the time, and don't even really think about it anymore, it just becomes "muscle memory" over time. I just sometimes don't know for sure if I had it one or two octaves down so I bring it back to zero and go from there (a little 3 LED indicator above the knobs would have been super helpful to know which octave up or down you're in)

How do you think Nucleus compares with BestService The Orchestra for an all-in-one starter?

I am user of BestService The Orchestra and Strings of Winter, but there's a different class. For all in one starter I suggest you to get AMADEUS SYMPHONIC ORCHESTRA, AUDIO IMPERIA THE JAEGER, and precious BERLIN INSPIRE 2. The main reason is: we must starting with very close to real instruments sounds for acknowledgement. Then if we can using the Libraries with ease, we can move to another libraries. For bump, power, dynamic, and epic, BestService The Orchestra is a monster, and BestService The Orchestra Complete is a HUGE monster. Enjoyable libraries. But when you start playing with libraries that I said before, you entering different class, different taste. These libraries is a GIANT. If you have all these libraries in one Kontakt player, I think you have more than enough for making Orchestral Music that pleasingly good on sounds!
