In this video, we will learn how to use a STM32 Timer to trigger ADC conversions at a configurable sampling frequency. We will toggle a GPIO every ADC conversion to show that the ADC is sampling at the expected frequency. We will use STM32CubeIDE to develop our code, and then test it on a Nucleo board.

PWM frequency is 5kHz, not 10kHz, as shown on the scope. The ADC sampling rate should also be 5kHz?

Hello man, the timer trigger the adc when counts 24000 and this happens always at 24000 so the frecuency of the adc is 10 KHz. the toggle only shows when de adc works. if am I wrong, please show me the aswer

@@ingenieriasetelsat8583 Thank you for your reply. I watched the video again. Indeed the PWM frequency is 10kHz. I got confused by the ADC conversion rate and the LED toggling frequency. The scope shows LED toggling not the ADC output. LED goes high every two ADC conversions. This is why the LED toggling frequency is half the ADC conversion rate.

Since 10KHz blink is not visible to human eye, it will appear as constant ON, why not put a code in ADC call back to count in software till 10,000 and after that, toggle the LED? That will cause a 1 second blink, which anyone can admire.

Close your eyes and imagine what's inside the adc_value variable... Or you can always debug too...

This is not a very useful video. It's just a follow this, follow that, use the bloaty cube code, without actually explaining how the registers work and how timers and ADC knit together.
