Yeah pretty much. We have 7X14 trailer and we usually fill it once per yard. We do have some smaller yards that we try and put on the same day. We are finishing our box set up this morning. No motor issues, but it is only tilting to about 45 degrees so I don't imagine that would cause any harm.

This is my first season with this setup, so I am still figuring it out myself. I have come up with a minimum charge, but after that I am try to figure out whether to charge by the amount picked up or by man hour?

I’m in Boston, most of the houses are small to average size. I hit each house twice….. I have a few that I have to go by three or four times because they get pounded….. and I have a handful of what I call one hit wonders that I wait till after Thanksgiving…. but generally everyone gets two visit otherwise you’re spending way too much time there and racing against the clock… And if it’s a wet season those leaves are molting and ruining the grass. I’d rather spend an hour and a half two times then spend four hours because it’s a shit show. This way if it snows early at least you got half a check from the customer. I don’t want to pull the truck over for less than 250 $. My goal is to make minimum 500 off each customer for the season… but sometimes it’s 375 sometimes it’s 450 or 400 but the goal is 500 and up. I mean it all depends on the size of the property, some houses I’m getting 700 to 1200… As far as an hourly rate it’s kind of tricky, I’d rather just price buy the job… Because it’s not just the guys it’s your truck, your leaf loader $650 blowers etc. etc. etc.…if they are new customers sometimes I give them A break and I do a real good job, then I tell them moving forward it’s going to be two visits at minimum 200-225 per visit………. Been working just fine for me….. If you run into a huge property and you’re not sure ? Make sure you do the math first on gas and disposal--you don’t want to be paying for this guys dump fee AND gas . Just break the job up like it was a few different yards put the price together and go for it. Better to overcharge them than to get screwed……. this year 2022 All the leaves fell early which is good because it gave me time to take on new customers / more money…. now I have just a few finals which I will blow through in about a half hour 45 minutes each visit. hopefully the weather stays good because I will do cleanups until the spring. I put out a sign that says year-round cleanups and believe me the phone never stops ringing _💪💪💪

It's all about your operation and preference. I'm solo part time so having it on the driver's side works better. The down side is facing traffic.

@@HandyGuy2016 Thankyou for responding so fast. We run a 4 man crew and the trailer shop suggested curb side. Being somebody who’s had a lot of experience would you suggest the same if you had more people, or would you keep it driver side?
