Not a style I would put in my home (besides with the ceiling heights I have it would hover somewhere at waist level) but more than a matching fit for his space. An style and everything aside, you just have to admire the craftsmanship.

That looks amazing. Centering it was key, combined with the outdoor sconces, that really brings the room together. When you chose to change the hanging location, after everyone was gone, my thoughts went to the Gods of "man, thats a long way down". Glad it went well. Thumbs up to the local artisan (👍🏻) blacksmith. That coat of arms, along with sword and mace, look appropriate on the wall in the castle.(Maybe a couple of real candle sconces on either side would finish the look) Excellent video. Thank you.

Hello Andrew! The addition of the chandelier was the perfect addition to that space. With that metal Roof,it would be a good idea to make a lightning rod, especially because it is at higher elevation compared to any other metal building,structure around.They say lighting does not strike twice in the same spot,but with that footprint it might be the only place the lightning would strike on that mountain.
@brutwinky64922 жыл бұрын
Really good point, here in the UK it would have to be tied to earth anyway with it being a extraneous conductive part, due it being linked to earth by the containers, which wouldn't particularly cover it for lightening, more for shock protection under fault conditions, but an additional lighting conductor would be put in to the lightning rod. He needs to install one, well done for spotting it, message him directly it's important he sorts it.
@benjaminsagau2 жыл бұрын
@@brutwinky6492 Yes,that’s the way to do it,with connection to the earth and a dedicated rod.But after watching Andrew for the past 2 years I think he can’t care less about it 😃😃. I hope he sees the comment,don’t know how to contact him anyway.

Isn’t the building one big lightning rod
@benjaminsagau2 жыл бұрын
@@lordhoho1 imagine Andrew chilling in his bed on an rainy evening watching KZfaq while charging his phone, the lightning strikes the roof ,travels to the side of the house where it meets an outside lamp mounted on the wall.What do you think the outcome is?
@johnkruton97082 жыл бұрын
I don’t think he needs a lighting rod. He’d have to construct a faraday cage of rods with massive guage wire. The steel roof and all the connections to ground he has through all the steel and concrete is sufficient to dissipate a strike. He does have to be sure his electrical work is up to snuff and at a minimum a surge breaker on his electrical panel. He should invest in UPS backups on all the electronics. Much cheaper to replace a 250$ UPS than a whole computer or other stuff.
