Haha, great parody! Loved the silent f-bomb.... Thanks though, for reminding me how easy it is to test. Not so easy is cleaning those little vials and keeping them spotless to get ongoing accurate results. 🤬 so - I just buy a whole bunch of them and when they start looking grubby, I toss them and use a new one! 👍🏻👍🏻

Thanks! I just rinse with RODI water before and after to keep em clean. Def need to keep an eye on it to stay clean though 😶

OCD Chaos Haha... A little bit exaggerated but I hate doing the tritiation tests... I always get impatient and start doing 2-3 drops at a time. And every time I remind myself what a donkey I am...

How does the tank use alkalinity if you don’t have corals? I ask because that’s what’s happening me and would like to understand why.

Paul Lehane You can do some more reading on it. But short explanation is that biological processes will consume alkalinity too. Misc algae, bacterial growth. Here’s the thing though. If you don’t keep any corals, it shouldn’t matter if the number drops. Also at some point it will stop dropping because it’ll reach a certain balance where it can self regulate.
