This song has fascinated me for years. I love the original of course and many excellent interpretations. Liam Clancy's being one I listen to often among others. Today I found this wonderful version. Enchanting.

supreme, deep emotion without any sentimental ado, a great voice, her performance reaches the high level of Rufus Wainwright and the McGarrigles. And this is the absolute top a singer of such songs can possibly reach.
