Hans Niemann has returned to streaming for the month before his US Championship, and those who exploited his misfortunes have not gone unnoticed. The young talent expressed his disappointment with the Botez Sisters, as well as the content leaches Gotham Chess and C^2 Podcast: "If you look at all their top videos, I think you'll find one thing in common".
Meanwhile he expressed his love for his favorite streamer Naroditsky, and enjoyed some blitz matches with Nihal Sarin- "he's such a nice guy". Niemann expressed his desire to turn a new leaf- but only for grand masters!

@odysseas573 No, please, I can't take it 😢 But seriously, my criticism of the botez sisters is that they prioritise financial gain and clout over authenticity, letting their greed come before the wellbeing of others. I really didn't like when they took the sponsorship from the crypto scam, that shit really ruins people's lives, I really think you have to be so spineless and morally bankrupt to promote that to your own audience. Similarly, their defence of slavery in Dubai showed a worrying lack of empathy, they'll really take money from anyone and say whatever makes them the most money. And what Hans is talking about is more of the same pattern of behaviour, where they'll pretend to be friends with someone when it's financially beneficial, but never actually care about anyone but themselves. Maybe you think I'm being too harsh, but I really can't stand people that have so much in life but still want more at others' expense.

@@Jbb7272 I would say that your argument is quite nonsensical....any human being on earth would see a crashed helicopter and instantly recognize that something was wrong... whereas the vast majority of people on earth cannot truly understand top GM level chess without commentators explanation or analysis. Would you recognize an incorrect incision during an open heart surgery? What about a malfunction on a rocket going to space (trajectory off by 1 degree for example)? Even other GM's were unsure about whether Magnus' suspicions were correct.
@Jbb7272
@Jbb7272 9 ай бұрын
@@davidjames149 I’m not saying these things as fans of Botez or Neiman. I’m not fans of either. But I’m not sure I understand your questions. If the person was dead or the rocket blew up… of course I’d know. To be fair to what I think the spirit of your question is “in the moment”? I don’t think so. True. Even GMs weren’t sure. However, Andrea is an “Expert” level chess player, technically (1995 is her peak rating. She’s 5 points shy of being Expert). Alex is a titled player. AND not to mention all the other GMs who’ve implied foul play, up to Carlson, Nakamura, Hansen and more. I think the claim that the Botez can’t analyze a 2700 game, especially with the use of engines, is a bold one. That’s all. It doesn’t really take any expert to see: “WOW the greatest streak of chess accuracy put up to a computer in history is 70%… and now this one guy is putting up 95% accuracy!” I don’t see why it’s crazy to at least question that.
@davidjames149
@davidjames149 9 ай бұрын
@@Jbb7272 yeah if you are reasonable and not assuming death in the hypothetical situation... "in the moment" as an untrained individual spectating a heart surgery, you wouldn't have a single clue if an incision was made in the incorrect place. If a rocket flew towards space and parts started dropping off it, you would not necessarily know if that's part of the launch procedure, or an absolute catastrophe. My point is that for high level stuff (including GM chess) that requires years of learning, the vast majority of us are simply not in a position to recognize what is correct play or procedure and what is not. Which is why the argument of a helicopter crashing doesn't really work in my opinion, as it does NOT take an expert to see that that is a major issue. A 3 year old would see a helicopter in a tree and recognize that's not where it belongs. A 3 year old is not able to recognize cheating in a GM game of chess though are they? Not sure what you mean when you said "WOW the great streak of chess accuracy put up tho a computer in history is 70%..." It is not at all uncommon for GM games to be played at >90% accuracy, I saw multiple games in the recent Julius Baer cup that were played at nearly 100% accuracy. I don't think that's the point of the whole thing. I think it was the fact that Hans had not been playing well prior to the tournament and then absolutely destroyed Magnus (world number 1) in a DOMINANT fashion and with the black pieces which was suspicious, and then he didn't explain the moves.

I don't know the full context (Alex might not know what exactly Hans said or she might have understood his point), but if she did see his original clip and understood it, then her saying Hans can leak their DMs is basically gaslighting and trying to confuse viewers on what Hans' point is. His point isn't that they wrote mean DMs, it's that they are 2-faced and leeches. So crazy they just try to deflect like that.

The Botez sisters are content creators and so is Hans. Their lives revolve around content because that's the business. It's just that Hans doesn't like people profiting off of his misery. But since everybody else is, he might as well do it too. The world of business is a inherently exploitative. And it's hypocritical for Hans as a content creator to accuse them of being leeches because he's in the same business doing the exact same thing.

Yes look up “Hans Niemann calls out Botez Sisters”. The video has edits showing how the Botez sisters are contradicting themselves. The easiest example is Andrea said he played a perfect game against Magnus which is false and slanderous because it makes it seem like he must have cheated. The real accuracy of the game was 68% which is completely normal.

To be the devils advocate (sort of) Hans has to realise they're content creators. And so even though theyve collaborated in the past regardless of how much they have played together, just because you collabed doesnt mean you're friends you are merely just colleagues working together for the sake of content. @@MOH10492 Nothing is proven dude.. nothing. And his story was the biggest chess story in decades. Expecting any chess content creator to not comment is a completely absurd notion on its face. Niemann doesn't understand this fact and it is driving irrational anger on his part. He doesn't have to love them or even like them.. but part of being in a celebrity status is understanding everyone is just doing their job. If he doesn't figure out a way to work with others around things like this to leverage his own celebrity he is cutting his own throat. The best thing he could have done is be magnanimous when it all happened and that is it. I've been working in programming for decades now.. I don't like some people I work with.. but I put that aside in the interest of the bigger picture. That is what mature ADULTS do to get on with things. You'll never love everyone.. but sometimes you need those unliked people to make your own success, this isn't evil or even stupid.. it is just how the world actually works.
