It is challenging to memorize but your brain tends to compress this kind of data into patterns and other types of memory cues. Consider the memory of playing this song as a construct. What's interesting is the brain does this on its own and your will and execution to play it is like going for a ride in your own body.

Internet is such a funny place. I've watched around 20 other Insterstellar covers and most of them have more than 5 million views when this one, which BY FAR the best, more complete and intense of all of them, has not even 2 million views. This cover and her performance is massively underrated, and I am not trying to discourage or underestimate all the other ones, but definitely this one deserves much more attention. Chapeau 🙏

I bought a piano yesterday. It must arrive next week. My daughter is 6 years old. I’m 45. We made a promise to each other: we must study music and be able to play like this. This is very emotional for me because I feel like this is what is missing in my life. I always had the talent (she also has) but never had the guts to endure on studying. Never had any support. My family wanted me to have professional success. And I did. But now is time to invest in something that will my soul grow. So, Renato, this is a promise. Years from now, when you come back here, you will be playing like this. If you don’t. Start again. But please, don’t give up. 🙏

You’re not the only one. Another amazing detail is the detail that went into making this video. There are two cameras and on is on a motion slider that moves slowly. The audio quality is clearly professionally recorded as well. This was no off the cuff production.

I'm pretty proficient at the piano. I also like to think I'm pretty creative and anytime I play, people are silent and surprised. Her ad libs and transitions are so spot on. Many have interstellar covers. Nobody hits it like this. She made great choices to shape it into a 12 minute lesson on impact and fluidity. Just beautiful.

Well... Interstellar is one of my favourite films. I've just got home, drunk from the pub and by no means a social media kinda guy. I stumbled across this by accident, looking for some music to go to bed to. Can I just say thanks. I'm now wide awake but in a good way. @@u208839 Muscle memory. Play it enough and you don’t need to actively think about the notes you’re playing anymore. In my experience as a pianist your brain automatically breaks the song up into perceived “sections” so when playing longer pieces the thing I’m thinking about the most is which “section” comes next.

I’ve never been truly speechless from a piano cover before. Any piece of music at all really. But this had my jaw open the entire time. From start to finish every single note hit was hit with care, precision, dedication, and passion. I can FEEL this. That’s what art is. It’s supposed to make you feel something and this is just…perfect. This sounds absolutely masterful. Everything about this I love. My mind is truly blown in the most literal sense of the phrase. This piece was wonderfull to hear again. You are in my opinion one of the best out there on KZfaq when it comes to piano covers. I love that you're also on Spotify these days. The way you make a music piece your own is an art of work. From the Interstellar Suite I like the 'Mountains' most. But when I did hear your own version of 'Murph' I found a new depth into that song. I feel blessed and am amazed everytime how similar our taste in music (Coldplay) and movie (Interstellar is my number one movie atm) we have in common. Have a token of appreciation from me, I will keep following you! A rising star for sure.

Not only do I love this movie and the soundtrack but I am simply in awe at your skill. I play piano (poorly) and I only wish that one day I can play mid-level Interstellar with this confidence. Let me just add one more to the pile of accolades you are getting in the comment section - this is by far the best and most amazing cover of Han Zimmer's Interstellar I have ever heard. Your musical genius is obviously apparent by the fact you played the entire piece without sheet music, but more importantly, you weren't just pounding out memorized notes, you were conveying the feeling of the music, and I could sense your passion for what you were playing. I've just discovered you. It`s 2:00 am and I must get up at 7 to go to work. But I can't stop viewing your videos. It's.... omg, it's so amazing how you play.. I know you are perfectly conscious by now that we all like your music. But I think that you will never be really conscious of the variety of feelings and emotions that you are capable of transmit to us when you play. Delicate, beautiful arrangements, heartbreaking dynamics... Sorry that I can't find the wright words in english as I'm spanish. Thank you... Interstellar was a movie that meant a lot to me as a divorced dad and being seperated from my daughter. Tears ran down my face as I listened to you play. Wow, that was a flawless performance! I can't even manage to play "Für Elise" (the simplified version) without making a mistake. And here you are, tackling a piece as challenging as "Interstellar" with all those jumps and those wide chords that seem so awkward to handle. Hats off to you! It's truly impressive how you played it all from memory, without relying on sheet music. It felt like attending a concert. Outstanding achievement!

That No Time For Caution cover is INTOXICATING ... wow. I absolutely LOVE the low D octave you hit just after 5:52 to transition into Em. The original is missing that bass richness. I also haven't heard anyone else hit that in the lower register like you did. I'm stealing it :)
