Have you looked into snagging some weightitout plates? They seem to be close to calibrated standard and I think cheaper overall since they offer free shipping. Only downside is they don’t seem to offer kg or 55s

Most calibrated plates look the same. I think maybe the ivankos are my favorite. I have rogue calibrated plates which was a bad choice for a garage with varying temperatures, they have started to rust a lot after 3 years. I think I may next time go for the zinc calibrated strengthshop plates as I assume those would stand better with varying temperatures.

Competition colours yes but I think these in all black- black&white would look damn sexy. Someone wants to spray his rogues? 😂

Im waiting for rogues. I think rogue looks the most modern with the font style and color. Ivanko and hansu look like 1970 newspaper font. 😆. Ghost strong ones would be bad ass but no pound options.

My friend owns a gym in British Columbia, Surrey and Hansu wrote a message in an order saying if you mention you are a member of his gym they will give them a discount. They are definitely one of the nicer looking plates for calibrated.

Don't know if it's still the case, but when I ordered my Vulcan set, shipping was free if ordered in sets instead of pairs.... Granted there is no stock so not particularly relevant.

There really isn't much out there review wise on xmark in general or on this machine specifically. I am 1) still cool 2) an idiot for doing this? Any familiarity with their products? Considering the amount of equipment that you buy and sell, I bet your accountant loves you.

I think the Eleiko PL plates might actually be made in Sweden. The WL discs are for sure. Their powder coating seems to last the longest too. Either way I prefer a steel plate now (thinner, easier to grip and no paint wearing off). Kustom Kit has the thinnest and best tolerance - but the fingerprints on the nickel would bother me lol. The Watson stainless aren't actually calibrated and seeing their DBs in commercial spaces, I don't think stainless is an appropriate material for plates. The ATX chrome are second thinnest (behind Kustom) but chrome is meh to maintain and I don't like a big logo unless its Eleiko, Rogue or Ivanko (boujee I know). I went with the Strength Shop zinc in the end - thinner than Watson (not as thin as the others) and no big logo. And I can buy more plates when needed rather than made to order.

Interesting to see you mention Challenge plates from India. How do they compare to the other brands? (Although the title of your video does say all calibrated plates are the same lol). My gym uses plates by this Indian brand called Performer. Not as popular as Challenge but I believe they're made in the same factory.

I don't think it'll always be a west coast free / east coast paid shipping sort of thing - I think it's just based on what warehouse those plates are in right now. (Over the winter they had free shipping for a lot of their bumpers in both zones.) So if you're not dying for them rn and in the east zone, might be worth to wait a bit and see if that changes in the next batch.

You should review some of those stainless steel watson plates or the domestic plates made by machinists (way cheaper but not as pretty).

Do these fit on a 45 pound Ohio power rogue bar? I ask because the description says 50 mm hole (rogues say 50.4 mm) opening and the Ohio bar is 2 inch which is slightly larger. Just don’t want to spend all that money on plates that don’t fit. Thanks!

I am the guy that always asks about paint..lol I love that they offer pound version and would get if I didnt already finish my Rogue Set. Which was very difficult to do. So these being available is a win itself. The pounds and kilos are basically the same thinnest so pounds will give you the same feel. And I dont like to kilo math everything in my programing.
