You are not far wrong, i got this from ebay, but i think you can get them on Amazon, alibaba and all those other places, there is variant styles under different chinese brands, they are quite cheaply made but i do like the sound of it, it actually sounds decent for what it is. Definitely cheap though

Yes the Needle Vu's are garbage, even if i turn the volume on full they still hardly move at all, and when they do bounce they just bounce around on their own, and they don't bounce slow and flow. i was thinking of buying a vu driver board and wire it up inside, just to see if i can make them bounce proper when the volume is down, The stereo actually sounds quite good for a modern china box, but it weighs absolutely nothing, a fraction of the weight of a crown Sz5100.

@@80s_kid. There might be a potentiometer on the meter board that can be twisted to adjust the meter sensitivity.

@@80s_Boombox_Collector There definitely is not, i looked, the Innards are the most basic you ever seen, small amp board, the Led Vu's run like the Sz5100, They run mono, not independent L/R so they both bounce together with no channel separation, the Needle Vu's are just plugged to the bottom of the Main Board. all there is is the Amp Ic, few caps and resistors and that's about it. i need to find the main central pre amp then get a vu driver board, wire that in and see if i can get them moving, it really is a cheapo stereo, nothing in it, light as a feather, only takes 6 D cells. but strangely, despite its cheapness i still kinda like it. i think it sounds just as good, if not better than the Gpo Brooklyn.

@@80s_kid. Wow, that's shitty. Reminds me of my General Sound, the meter has left and right but it's just mono, and there's only one microphone too. As for the GPO Brooklyn yeah it's not difficult to sound better than those. Does it have tweeters?

@@80s_Boombox_Collector No it doesn't have any tweeters, you will laugh at this, it has Chrome Dust caps Taped in place over the tweeter holes to make you think it has tweeters, that is how cheapo it is lol. the woofers are 4" free edge foam reflex and they sound quite alright with pretty good bass and plenty of treble, i know i'm laughing at it and shítting on it but like i said tho, i do kinda like it, it's not that bad for what it is.. i mean it's certainly no No M90 or GF777, but for a kitchen, or to sit outside playing a bit of music, it will do the job.

Yes i saw those, i would have bought one but they're a bit too expensive for me right now, if you look at the style of them, the body shell is copied from the Sharp GF575
