Ez curl bar focuses on the short head, also the position with dumbbells focus on short head when these combined its hulks contraction

I love that exercise creates more tension conccentrically and eccentrically because it is an unstable environment. we don't use multijoint muscles to perform the movement and we use only elbows. Muscles they grow during eccentric phase. ❤

Adding that 5 seconds stretch at the bottom might be more effective than the concentric hold

I like to see someone actually emphasizing the lowering of a barbell curl (I do this slow lowering) but most in my gym just swing a barbell curl around.

I do curls bent over,same thing only one must be careful,can hurt your back,but i get a good pump after dumbbells,curl bar,then this it helps peak your bi,s.

It incorporates more muscle fibers. It strengthens more, but only at rest - when you are recoverying.

So just do one set to failure concentrate on the concentric /eccentric 8 secs each massive gains less chance of injury

I use to do negatives ALL the time I’ve trained for over 30 yrs in gyms and now I have to wear elbow compression bandages because my elbows are shot Cortisone shots in ur future

Idk anything after 5 sets is basically over training. I used to go hard like this but in the end 5 to 10 sets every work out was only halting my gains. Trial and error i say

JGEdits is probably right, but I interpreted it as doing "21's" i.e. 7 reps of lower partials (from the bottom to midway), 7 reps of higher partials (from midway to peak contraction) and then 7 full reps - and all of that is 1 set. But JGEdits is probably right given it is Hany

Why not sit in the other direction? Instead of chest to bench, do back to bench. Facing the other direction with a dumbbell would give you a greater angle and therefore more bottom end stretch on the muscle. Loading a muscle while it's stretched is very hypertrophic.

Agreed and it allows your arms to go a little farther behind your body and you get a better stretch on the bicep. I love incline dumbbell curls

5-30 works the same as long as training close to failure, but if you need a more specific number I’d recommend to keep it in 10-20 reps for arms.
