Bivol switches from offensive to defense so seamlessly. The moment his gloves make contact, he's either following it up with a combo or a half step back to invite his opponent in for a counter. I don't think people know how hard it is to make it look that easy.

I am huge Canelo fan but this guy is a serious threat. Anyone whos saying Bivol is easy work honestly don't know anything about boxing. If you focus only on the upper body, the bivol may not look very active. But if you focus on his feet, you'll see that few players are active enough to bivol. Bouncing step from round 1 to round 12. His cardio and ability to control distance are insane.

Ever since then I have watched this clip like 200 times without ever gettin tired. But back then I wanted to congratulate you for making such a great content and wanted to say that your video is gonna EXPLODE after Bivol is done with Canelo. but I refrained from saying so because of all these uncritical fanboying and swearing that takes place under many of the boxing forums and clips . Personally I don't think Golovkin, Canelo or anybody from the middleweights can hang with any of the light heavyweights and Bivol for that matter is skilled waaay beyond where most world class top ranked boxers are. Bivol is the best in the business at being very offensive while remaining defensively responsible. His hands are always in position to parry or block punches and his ability to reverse shuffle to maintain distance control is insane. Not to mention, he NEVER runs out of gas and can fight like that all night. I’ve been saying this for a few years now. Bivol’s style is all wrong for a guy like Canelo who likes to load up and throw one punch at a time.

Bivols Speed and Literal Movement is Scary

Been watching boxing for 50 years, and Bivol is technically perhaps the most perfect I’ve ever seen.

I seen and felt he has excellent power, and I thought excellent control of distance, that spring in his step to close in or retreat is sweet and sharp... but I didn't realize how defensively effective and superior he could be. This kid got a shield wall when he want to play the defensive game- very impressive.

He his these type of fighters like Tommy Hearns who use the basic principles of boxing in a masterful way, keeping the distance, hitting in different angles, an excellent use of the lead hand, pivoting or side stepping when needed, only using these basic principles that make them world class fighters. Very elegant. When people who don't box watch these foighters, they always feel well, that's actually easy I could do that. Just like watching Hearns felt natural, genuinely simple, though he punch technique had the best form I've ever seen.
