ABOUT HAPPIEST SEASON
Meeting your girlfriend’s family for the first time can be tough. Planning to propose at her family’s annual Christmas dinner - until you realize that they don’t even know she’s gay - is even harder. When Abby (Kristen Stewart) learns that Harper (Mackenzie Davis) has kept their relationship a secret from her family, she begins to question the girlfriend she thought she knew. I've just seen the movie and all I have to say is that I'll treasure this movie forever and I'll watch it every Christmas. It's already a classic and we need MORE LGBTQ+ holidays movies coming, it's amazing to see people like you being represented, you can't even explain this feeling. To all the LGBTQ+ people that felt represented while watching this movie just know you're loved.

This looks really good. I think my favorite line from the trailer is "Everybody's story is different. Just because Harper isn't ready doesn't mean she doesn't love you." With all the focus now of 'don't hide it' - be open and proud - I like that they recognize that people can be in the closet for different reasons. It's not that they're afraid to commit or holding back from loving someone.

Just watched this and loved it. Well done - great acting, funny - and the more serious moments were so fitting and realistic. And emotional - in a good way. My partner and I lived as a “secret couple” for several years. (She passed away in 2004. 😞) Some of the moments and emotions in this movie are very familiar. I felt them deeply. I am grateful that this was presented so well. The world needs more movies like this.

Sibling rivalry that portrayed in this film was so on point. It brought a main conflict (which is about harper coming out situations) became more emotionally captivating. The stories had a layer, a different perspective that made us audience couldnt vaguely picked who exactly the good or the bad one. Every characters had their own struggle.

Some people say that Kristen Stewart’s acting in her older movies doesn’t show enough emotion or strong expressions and sometimes that’s true but I swear from what I can tell from this trailer, she seems her truest happiest self. She’s not casted as a straight woman, something she’s not and has been coerced to play for a while. She’s clearly more comfortable and herself and just looks more happy and excited to be this part. I’m so happy for her.

@Why am I turned on by anime men? No it's because they pulled an ad that had a lesbian couple kissing. I love a good hallmark holiday flick but imagine being homophobic in 2020. It's not okay and will never be okay. The same way Disney+ pulled love victor from their platform because it was "too adult" even though avengers shows a beheading. Hulu has been ahead of many media platforms for a while and I look forward to them pushing through their competition. Hallmark won't last long around the world if they continue to hold on to their archaic beliefs
