Im soo happy to see how much you loved this piece of work.... you are absolutely right - its an incredible accomplishment to be able to bring all of these difficult and strange elements together and still have these hilarious awkward moments. Please do consider covering Solondz's Welcome To The Dolls House (1995).

I loved this movie when I saw it back in 1998. Where I come from no-one in the audience ever speaks - it's always really quiet. The only time it has ever happened was a scene in this movie where we already know that Dylan Baker's character is a paedophile. His son has asked one of his friends round to stay over and we can see Dylan Baker's character has put something in the sandwich which he gives to his friend's son in order to knock him out so he can rape him. A woman in the audience instinctively cried out 'Oh No' in a really caring compassionate voice. I can still hear her now. I think everyone in the cinema felt so drawn into the movie. I'm always surprised Dylan Baker's career didn't take off after this. I've hardly seen him in anything since. He's fantastic in this movie.

Such a wonderful film. And one of the most jawdropping opening scenes and title introductions I've ever seen.

Welcome to the Dollhouse is just as good maybe even better, a must see.
