i remember turning 30 i wasnt upset, but the night before i turned 40 OH MY I was UPSET! now that im over 70 its laughable...but i still get looks, so thats good! too bad theyre all from seniors on walkers, etc.

Same thing, when I turned 40; I automatically, felt like my life was slipping away. I thought; my God, I'm now middle age. How the hell, did I get middle age. Then I turned 50 and thought; well, OK, 50 is not old, old as such, I can STILL, consider myself middle age, at least. Now I'm about a year and two months away from 60 and with every day, week and month that passes, I dread it more. Now I'm thinking; 60 is no longer middle age. I can't even, consider myself that any longer. Of course, it's all society and the rules and standards it sits for all of us. And men supposedly, are not supposed to be as bothered by this as women are, but I think that's complete, bull. I think it bothers men too, every bet as much as it does women, we simply, maybe, display it differently. I'm pleased to know you can still, turn heads. Na, I doubt it is only, people your age. I've seen women in their 70s who look after themselves and they remain extremely, attractive. Hell, I thought Betty White was attractive right to the very end. It's about the type of Spirit you exude as well, I think. People who have bubbly personalities who also, keep themselves well, remain timeless I think, and remain attractive forever. Personally, I think Carol Burnett remains attractive even, to this very day, and she is easily, old enough to be my mother. It's just her personality and the way she continues to keep herself. I'm thankful too, that I don't look close to my age, at all. If I were not bald and showing loads of grey hair now, no one would think I was anywhere near 60 yet, as far as my face goes. Not much sagging yet, and no real, noticeable, wrinkles, either, thankfully. I know it's coming though, and I dread it with a passion. Also, my body is not too far off from the way it was when I was in my 20s, so that's helping as well. And inwardly, I remain 20 FOREVER, really. Inwardly, I have not changed or aged one year since my late teens / early 20s. Maybe that's why it's not showing on my face a lot, yet. I fully, understand we can't stop ageing, sadly, and our inevitable, end, but that in no way, shape or form makes it any easier. I won't be one of these people that age gracefully.
