I love this country and call it home before any other, even though I immigrated here years ago. Canada's real story is of immigration, and while the red and white is everywhere today for a 157th birthday party, rest assured we're not high-fiving the principles of colonialism that the country was founded on. Today is a celebration of family, friends, community. Canada is our home and we love this land.
Besides, tradition dictates that I then top the day off with some elaborate BBQ that goes far too late into the night.. and I never disappoint! The land of the maple leaf, the home of the brave - a place where I can make maple syrup and canoe down the river whistling a tune. I love you Canada! 🇨🇦
