I wasn't initially sold by this trailer, but I gave the movie a shot and ended up absolutely loving it. Really fun, entertaining movie with an engaging lead and a clever riff on the time-loop/Groundhog Day formula. I was practically first in line to see the sequel-- which I also loved for both continuing the story while also changing things up. (I loved how the second movie was more of an overt sci-fi comedy. It was a fun way to evolve the franchise.) Here's to hoping that eventually they get to make the third movie.

I’ve never commented on KZfaq about a movie before, but this one deserves it. I love that this is a psychological horror with no jump scares. Beautifully filmed with a cool atmosphere. If anybody is looking at these comments before watching, YOU MUST GIVE IT A WATCH. Amazing film 🔥

this is shockingly one of my favorite movies of all time I think. has a positive message, lots of good kills, good horror, great comedy, etc. The sequel gives you all of that plus some sci-fi too. they're apparently working on a 3rd movie too. I have to recommend this movie to everyone

I knew I’d probably like this movie, but it was a lot better then I’d thought it’d be! A great mixture of horror & comedy! Some really cool twists! The character development for Tree was really well-executed. You hated her at first, but then you grow to care for her. Really clever film overall!

Tycondaroga100 Again, a rather pretentious comment that has less to do with the movies & more to do with criticizing today's youth. As for the movie itself; you say that this is just another slasher flick fused with Groundhog's Day. That's not a bad thing. The concept of repeating the same day over & over is a plot device; what matters is how effectively they use it to make it not "just another slasher flick". GHD isn't the only thing that ever used this trope either which makes it pretty unfair to say that this is just copying that. Finally; where did you get the idea that kids today think this is original? No one expects this to be innovative, they just want it to be good.

Fatima Darr that's because that episode was about a time loop in which Sam and Dean were stuck in. In that case Sam was the one really resetting but it was because of Deans repeating death. Several other movies and tv shows have explored this concept. Terminator for example is also a time loop. More complicated but overall the same.

Ivan Bosnjak It's not a new concept. No one stole the concept. Time loops are not new plot devices. ABC did a TV show over a decade ago, revolving around a detective reliving the same day over and over again, it was called Day Break. This is new to the horror genre, which makes it fresh for the genre.

THIS WAS AN AWESOME MOVIIIIEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!! Horror, thriller, mystery, drama, action romance.... EVERYTHING IN ONE. This was exceptional. I loved every aspect of it. DEFINITELY RECOMMEND WATCHING!!! PS- I also love what they did at the beginning with the Universal Pictures thing on replay.

That one shitposter that lives in your fridge I trust Blumhouse. They are the guys who made Get Out, which was pretty good. I also have that bit of skeptisism and worry because they did make The Purge series which was MOSTLY terrible (espically the second film fuck I hate that movie so badly). But even if it is rehashed, it looks interesting where they are going with it.

here's a little blooper? i guess: in the first shot, the main girl wakes up in the dorm room wearing a blue sweater, but takes it off and puts on a tanktop. then she leaves the room (without the sweater she was wearing) and goes back to the sorority house and changes into a white sweater. then she wakes up again in the dorm room and does the same thing, yet somehow she is wearing the blue sweater again at the sorority house (0:58) despite the fact that she didn't take it with her when she left the dorm room. also notable is that she's wearing that blue sweater when she gets killed (1:34, 1:46), so i suppose she never changed out of it for the entire day? lol could be just a blooper, but it's most likely part of the movie. theories? oh and one more spoiler: the brunette who gets hit by the bus at 1:50 is the "biyatch" girl, so i guess she dies?

yeah normally they hire a contractor to do all the sound effects and musics. In that way they don't have to pay for copyrights and loyalties. Not to mention there's copyright infringement problems. Literally they can be sued or fined big time. And it's not really good idea to use free sound effect as they suck and it's quite hard to find right effect per particular scene.

I'm kind of a horror snob, and like many others I wrote this movie off initially, but I LOVED this movie (more comedy than horror...but that was the beauty - it didn't try to be anything other than what it was). It was super fun with some great tense moments, and of course my favorite - the unexpected.
