My truck driving instructor was a woman. Here in Portland. She told me a story how she got chased out a women’s rest room on the i5. Back in the 80s. She said she saw a guy stalking her to the rest room at a rest stop. ... She said she went in and closed the door to the rest room bathroom and then crawled out under the door so she doesn’t make noise opening the door. And that she took her shoes off so she doesnt make noise walking to the edge of the entrance. She could smell cigarette smoke so she knew someone was right by the door. .. She then told me how she got a running start and smashed thru the door nd started yelling in the rest stop so she could wake the other drivers in the parking lot. As she ran by the cars and trucks she would hit them to wake as many people up as she could. She said the guy gave a quick chase but then got in his truck nd drove off. She called 911 from a pay phone and cops came and took a report nd nothing happened of it. A year or so later she got a call from a detective in the area who told her that they got the guy who chased her and that he was also the same guy who killed some women in the area. This was probably the guy she talked about. She quit driving truck after that and became a teacher at a local truck driving school and that’s where I met her and heard the story. I never forgot her story and always think about it to this day when I’m over the road driving and stopping at rest stops. I just picture a scared woman running barefoot yelling as she is being chased. I felt so bad for her. This was 15 years ago. If I ever see some guy chasing a woman like that in the middle of the night in a rest stop, u better believe that predator will become the prey in a second. I feel guys like this need to be put down like a dangerous animal. Put him down and bury him asap.

@Thisisnotmynamereally8 жыл бұрын
The word "psychopath" gets thrown around a lot and often with little reason or meaning. This however is a case where that term fits like a glove. If there ever was a man who warranted the label, this is him. The man is calm and logical to an extreme with absolutely no moral qualms and a complete lack of empathy. He describes things that make others cry or squirm the way one would describe a recipe for making soup or steak. Note that he is NOT a sociopath. Sociopaths are characterized by an inability to contain their emotions (flying into rages etc.) and therefore rarely fly under the radar. In that sense, they are far less dangerous. Psychopaths on the other hand appear utterly calm and normal and are often very well adapted socially. That makes them incredibly dangerous. And last but not the least, they are often marked out by an almost extreme use of logic and reasoning coupled with - and this is key - no regard for morality. For example - stealing a wallet from the dead body of a man who's just been killed by an accident - in terms of pure logic "He didn't need the money anymore, why let it go to waste?" - Can you see how he says "Can we just move on?"
@BevvyIsTheBest8 жыл бұрын
I thought it was the other way round

Such a stupid comment to make. Yes his daughter is so happy that the father she really never knew was a serial killer and probably ruined her whole life because of it. As you can see comments like yours. That is what she's up against and that's why she's doing what she's doing because of all the hate the families get from the wrong doing of someone who shares their blood. I mean do you really blame others for the action of their parents?

Rowen Starchild he was raised this way by his father who was abusive and taught his sons to be that way too. Most likely his father was abused and it was a continued cycle. His daughter wasn’t raised the same way. His father blamed him for everything. His brothers blamed him for everything. This is a case where there was severe abuse and pent up anger. Doesn’t look genetic.

After being told that Keith Jesperson enjoys the attention from interviews and that he is not allowed to be interviewed in person due to this attention enjoyment, why does ABC continue to try to interview him? When a toddler is in time out you don't go over and talk to them, you leave them in timeout until the punishment is over. Why are people talking to someone in prison who has nothing to do with their lives? Leave the person to be punished. If I was in prison I would love to get to talk to someone new, especially the opposite gender.

Well we can move on to atonement. Him sitting in prison isnt doing much for society. He could be working for a good cause voluntarily to somehow right his wrongs or at least show an effort.
@TheKrouton6 жыл бұрын
This guy obviously isn't interested in atonement. In the interview he said he would hunt down and kill a man for doing the same thing he's done to many victims. That's why his "can we move one" is ironic. He's already killed half a dozen women for little to no reason. Even if he is somehow reformed, someone would have to keep an eye on him for at least a few years, which would be counterproductive. No, the man isn't doing any good for society sitting in prison, but it's more likely than not he will hurt society outside of prison.

The fact that he was referring to Taunja Bennett as "the body," and "it," really struck me as clear evidence that this man believes people are disposable, worthless beings. He said he put a rope around "its neck." I know some people believe our bodies are simply vessels for our souls, and once we die, we are free of our bodies. But this man is not referring to his victims in this spiritual way. He sees them as trash. He claims to be somewhat remorseful, but it's obvious that he is not, in the least bit, sorry for what he's done.

@chrisnizer18858 жыл бұрын
I'm always amazed when someone interviews someone like Jesperson and they cannot understand their callousness when describing their acts. People who commit serial murders don't have that capability. That's what enables them to do what they do. It's no use trying to get them to understand how their acts hurt other people. It's no surprise that they don't feel sympathy for their victims. If they were normal, well-adjusted, sympathetic individuals they probably wouldn't be committing serial murders in the first place. They speak matter of factly about it because to them It's just an event.
@cemeterygirl11477 жыл бұрын
Chris Nizer you're right.
@pubcle7 жыл бұрын
Well, the thing is he did say that he knew he would hunt down someone who did it to his own and how he knew he had hurt people but it was done and over with and he can't go back so he doesn't. To him, at the time it was justified, but he knows it isn't now. Yes, he clearly had things wrong with him, yes he was unsympathetic and had violent tendencies, but you can also hear the human part if you go through his story. I'm not saying he wasn't a cruel man, I'm not saying he's excused in any way from what he did, I'm saying he's still a human being.

Ganondorf The Dark Lord he actually wanted to be a police officer. But broke his leg which ended his career.
@pubcle7 жыл бұрын
Edgar Allan Poe Turn his more dark tendencies into something that could benefit society... that's what a lot of people do when they have problems, for instance many surgeons had a tendency to cut things open when they were younger and a bit of a violent nature but they focus it into something that helps society rather than turning it against people, him being an officer could have stopped all of this pretty easily, so unfortunate that one little accident would ruin so many lives including his own.

i read a book all from his perspective about the killings. its so interesting the way he accounts everything. he regrets everything but also doesnt. when he dragged the woman under the car he was so unbelievably calm about it. any woman that got in his way was sure to die, yet he still felt love for his first wife and then his girlfriend after. he was abused by his father and killed women, yet he was never rude to his first wife and he never hurt his kids. the human brain is fascinating. Keith Jesperson is probably one of my favorite killers mostly because i know so much about him. a very interesting man to say the least.

People in the comment section are amazed at this guys demeanor. But that's what a psychopath is. They have no ability to empathize with anyone. They are emotionless and completely totally self involved. They look at what they did as something to be proud of. They seem to believe simply because they can hurt, or kill someone without it bothering them like normal people, it makes them special in some way. They have some sort of god complex. They will easily talk about what they did if the interviewer sounds even mildly interested. They believe people are impressed with their ability. Cops take easy advantage of that by pretending to be impressed causing them to reveal every detail. Most people who know them never saw it coming, because these people know well they're not normal and will be arrested if found out, so they learn how to imitate normal. They can even pretend to have feelings when they really have none. Even the families some create are part of the act. Its a bit scary to know many others live among us who have not been discovered and many never will.
