Bob Barker was the host of The Price is Right for decades before he retired and Drew Carey took over. Many people grew up watching him when they were home from school.

The Bob Barker fight is so iconic because if you ever watched The Price Is Right while he was the host, you'll see that it's just the sweetest daytime game show that many people grew up watching. Bob Barker was kinda like America's cool grandpa on TV and he hosted that show for like 50+ years or something. So to see him being such a foul-mouthed badass was just so out of the ordinary that it was freaking hilarious.

@@DrRoboMonkey I'd buy any one of the three statements as a t-shirt. Dasha should definitely make some shirts from these phrases. Lots and lots of people play golf and would buy them, even if they only saw someone else wearing one.

When you asked if sudden death on the PGA tour was like the Hunger Games I shot milk through my nose I was laughing so hard. I imagined the PGA players having to fight to the death. Love ya, girl.

Funny you mention anger management because another great Adam Sandler movie is “Anger Management”. Also starring Jack Nicholson with Marisa Tomei. All the characters in Happy Gilmore are great and fit well together. And Shooter is just legendary!

I saw this at the movie theater when it came out and it was so much fun. Sandler's first 3 big starring roles were classic comedies. Billy Madison, Happy Gilmore and The Waterboy.

Hi Dasha🙂, this is my FAVORITE Adam Sandler comedy!🏆Did you recognize Apollo Creed (Carl Weathers) as Chubbs, Dasha? Yep, Bob Barker hosted "The Price is Right" for 35 years. He is currently 99 years old. It is a very funny movie with a sweet story with Happy savings his Grandma's house. Great reactions to one of Adam Sandler's funniest films, Dasha!!!!🎬👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽

The alligator from this movie, is named Morris, he lives at the Colorado gator rescue park in Colorado, I took gator wrestling lessons there and got to sit on Morris's back for a picture.

There is a deleted scene where Happy throws the Ben Stiller character off a balcony. It sucks that they cut that from the movie because it would have been nice to see the orderly get his comeuppance.

He didnt make $275,000 from the commercial. Thats how much he needed in total and between all the golf checks and the final subway check thats how much he had.

If you're wondering who that old man is that Adam Sandler's character is fighting with, that would be Bob Barker. He was a host on American television for 50 years, perhaps best known for hosting the game show "The Price is Right" from 1972 to 2007. Though he's been retired for a while at this point, he's actually still alive, and he'll be turning 100 years old in December 2023. Edit: Bob Barker passed away on August 26, 2023, coming just short of 100 years old. 😥

I'm so happy you broke the "golf is boring" stereotype, and I truly hope you see some fantastic matches on KZfaq or elsewhere. For another comedy film that features golf heavily, I would strongly recommend "Tin Cup" from 1999. One of the best golf films ever made!

Fun Fact: All exteriors/location/golf course portions were filmed in British Columbia Canada; mostly Vancouver and surrounding cities (Burnaby, Coquitlam,Surrey, etc.) as well as Squamish and Whistler areas. The hockey & ice skating arena scenes look like the Agridome or the Pacific Colosseum at the PNE grounds. Not sure about any non location interiors (stage/studio portions), but likely also done in Vancouver for convenience. Doesn’t Dasha live in the Vancouver area?

Bob Barker only agreed to do the fight scene if he ended up winning, so they rewrote it to make it so that he won the fight lol The PGA Tour is basically the professional tournament, like the NBA for Basketball, etc. I love that they had Lee Trevino in this film (he's the older guy who keeps shaking his head at Happy in disbelief)

Golf ⛳ exciting ? Well tournaments are 4 days long from Thursday through Sunday. So if you tune into the Sunday broadcast it can be kind of exciting. I often just watch like the last hour of it.
