There was something endearing about a movie finally just calling the restaurant what it is instead of “McBurgers” or “Subdirection.”

I still feel sorry for the Jim Henson company when they did a Subway commercial where the Muppets interacted with him when they were trying to promote "Muppets Most Wanted". Maybe that's why "Muppets Most Wanted" flopped in theaters.

It's because of how they used to cut their buns. They didn't cut it straight down the middle. They cut a Y in the bread and removed the top part of the bun. Filled it with meat and toppings, then put the top part of the bread back on so it held everything in place better. Look at the sub he's holding... its made the original way. From what I read, they stopped cutting the buns that way because it shaved off about 4 seconds per order.. allowing them to be more productive. Dumb. It's such a good way to make a sub. Some Subways will still make them that way if you ask.

I do. My dad and cousin used to get Subway a lot when I was really young. The both of them worked in a lumber mill, and would get those mega-sized subs they used to make, to split with the other workers, since it was right next to the mill. Every now and then, when my mom’d take me to the mill to say hi to my dad on his lunch, my dad would let me have a chunk off the mega-sandwich he got, and it felt like such a “man” moment, ha. :)

Um, I would not call this movie "smart and intelligent". The only difference between this movie and his awful stuff today is that in the 90s people thought stuff like this was funny, we grew up, Adam didn't.

Sandler was never funny. People confuse movies that he created (garbage), and movies that he acted in that were written by other people.

@@danbam3411 Thematically I can see that. From my perspective they jump forward in time and storywise, skip the steps of how Happy got from A to B. Editing-wise he went right from A to Q.
