Happy New Year family. That meal look delicious as usual. Amen We have a Deacon and he sings that song at the end of every year. Our dinner is black eye peas cooked with hog jowls, collard greens, cornbread, sweet potato pie, boston butt and root beer soda for my dad. I pray you all have a great 2024. 🙏 ❤

I just found you and I am so glad that I did! I lost my mom this past July. We always had great soul food on New Year's Day! One thing that I had never cooked was black eyed peas. I used your recipe and they were fabulous! I have always like stewed tomatoes dipped on top of mine. My meal consisted of pork loin roast (crockpot), black eyed peas, mustard greens (made with neck bones), stewed tomatoes, potato salad, sweet potato casserole, green beans, and last but not least, fried hog jowl. My son cooked it for me outside because it can be messy...but worth it! I failed on the flat, crispy cornbread that my mom always made. Maybe you have a video on that. I want to view more of your videos whenever I have time. You are a precious, Christian lady and I love to listen to your positivity. May God richly bless you through 2024! I’m so sorry for the loss of your mom😇 I’m glad you found my channel and have been viewing so of my many videos, hope you hit that subscribe button ☺️ I will put the flat thin cornbread patties on my requests list 🥰 i fried hog jowl one time many years ago and I couldn’t deal with the way it smells..I’m sort of sensitive to certain smells, so I couldn’t even taste it, but had a friend who loves it 🥰 we live about 25 miles from Dothan , I hope you and your family have a blessed 2024 🥰😇🙏🏾

Mae Mae and Tuck, the food look just great I understand how it is sometimes on holidays and we miss our loved ones but each year seems like more people to miss I remember that song I use to sing it all the time but God is so good he helps us to keep goingI had the greens, black- eyed peas with hog jowls, ham and chitterlings then I had the taste for a baked sweet potat O dranked a peach drink my food tasted so good I am in my seventies and I was not a good cook but now I am so much better since watching you tube I enjoy my own cooking now and my son does too he gets in the kitchen too looking forward to2024 and my resolution every year is to keep improving God Bless

Happy New Year Mae Mae: I agree with everything you are saying, and I felt the same way about my loved ones in December 2023. Yes, Mama and Daddy told me the same thing every year carry its number and so true only the righteous will see God. I never have had fried pig feet but heard of it. Yes, Lord Jesus I hated Mama rubbing me in that tallow for a cold and I wanted to die, and it smells rank or something. I enjoy your cooking video's and may Jesus continue to bless you & family.

Happy New Year Tuck & Mae Mae & family! Food looks wonderful as always. I made blacked eyed peas flavored with applewood smoked bacon and smoked Tx turkey sausage. Also had collards and cornbread. My friend and co-worker of thirty-three years passed on the 30th. She knew the Lord intimately and although heavy hearted we look forward to celebrating her legacy. Life continues and God still blesses and keeps us if we want to be kept. Love ya’ll. Thank God little Smudge is feeling better. 💕🙏💕🐕

Sounds absolutely amazing 🤩 I used to have Chitterlings on Thanksgiving or New Year but in the area where we lived they had got unaffordable 😮and I refused to be ripped off like that because I know better 😉 when or if they stop the nonsense I will start back purchasing them, I have always brought a least 4 bags when I buy them. but I know they were good 😊 we love them 😋 Thanks for watching and God bless 😇🙏🏾🥰
