118 books!!! That’s awesome! Congrats! I have a copy of This Tender Land on my TBR. I totally get moving on from books that don’t work for you. I still plan to read Noopiming, but I can understand the discomfort with harsh language. Maybe we can plan a different buddy read somewhere down the road. Happy new year!!! Agree with you about The Awakening. I’m glad I read it, but it wasn’t my favorite. Glad you had a good reading year in 2023 and I hope 2024 is even better 😊

Undaunted courage sounds so amazing! I recently got my first Sanderson, Warbreaker and currently on book 5 of wheel of time. Have you read Milton's Paradise lost? Heard a book tube review and am really interested. Happy and wonderful 2024 to you and your family 🎉🎇

Warbreaker is a good stand alone though I thought Elantris even better. I am still loving WOT! The end books seem to get even chunkier! I have read Paradise Lost- it felt like a really long poem to me as well as a bit like reading scripture - it was interesting and I enjoyed it.
