Harbor Freight 2 in 1 Ratcheting Support Cargo Bar

Today we review and demonstrate the Harbor Freight Haul Master 2 in 1 Support Cargo Bar. This is an extendable cargo bar that has many uses besides being a truck bed cargo divider. This will also work as a cargo support bar to stop your cargo from moving around in the bed of your truck, but what about other uses? I will show you how versatile this product is and give you my impressions of the Harbor Freight 2 in 1 ratcheting cargo bar. There are many Cargo Bars available on the market so I will explain why this is a good value and a very useful addition to your tool arsenal. This cargo bar can be a useful tool in carpentry, drywall work and painting. It's very useful around the house not just in your truck bed as a cargo support bar or cargo bed divider.

In this video we'll look at the Harbor Freight 2 in 1 support cargo bar. This unit is more versatile than it looks. Aside from using it for cargo stabilization in your truck bed, it can also help you do projects around the house. In the video I'll demonstrate what it can be used for.

@ 7:52 - "cargo bar" suggests it's also a tension bar (spring loaded) - can use as a security pole (vertical) for people with mobility issues ( the pads should keep it from slipping )

The locking mechanism does not keep the bar from collapsing. I had to return mine. Horrible design flaw

You simply had a defective one. I have been using this for years in many applications and the lock has never failed on me.

Hey sir I have a very important question I will be using these to up hold something for about couple months or so without bringing it down , how long do these stay up ??

They lock in place so I don't see why they would come down. I have set up tarps separating a room when doing very dusty drywall sanding and it stayed up for weeks with no problem. You should be OK.

The bar does NOT come with pads attached. Try as I might I can not attach the pads... Perhaps if I had the strength of Hercules they would attach securely or break in the attempt..

Can this be used to hold up cabinets during installation?

Yes it can. I think it holds up to 200 pounds. Check the HF website to be sure.

Could this work for supporting seamless paper?

Sure. It can hold up to 200 Lbs, so I see no problem.

Sure you can. I would suggest using more than one to give you greater stability, but sure.

I assume these dont hold up things at an angle...for example crown moulding installation?

Sure you can use it for angled projects. The head is on a ball socket so it can be angles and so is the base. All you have to do is support the base properly so it doesn't slide away from you as you apply pressure.

I have mine put away but according to HF it's max is 114 inches, and can hold up to 66lbs of weight.

Question: What is the diameter of the tube???

It looks like a 1" Inside Diameter. Can't take it apart to measure it.
