Man I really thought it'd snap on the fatwood haha I've had 4 of them. 2 of them were the older non-sawback version, 1st one handle broke, and the 2nd one blade snapped. The last 2 were the sawback and both snapped.

I guess I got lucky with this one. Still a turd though😂

I bought the ozark trails one took it camping out in cloudcroft it did great didnt break or bend handle was not to bad at all honestly this one looks like the handle vibrates like a mother

This handle was absolute garbage!! 😂 Not one I’d want to swing all day!!
@XxMeatShakexX11 ай бұрын
If you're gonna do a sawback then at least make it usable somehow like put a pull handle at the end of the grip or something crazy like a hole at the tip you can put a pull handle onto with a carabiner.
@soloproject9911 ай бұрын
I totally agree! Machete sawbacks tend to just be dangerous in MY hands.

So yeah it did about as well as I expected it to. Oh well...not worth getting all bent out of shape over!!🤣🤣

You’re probably right! I never thought of it.

You bought it! It did as well as I’d expect a $6 machete to do. When you first opened it, I thought you said it was serrated, I’m guessing you meant the back. I wonder how a serrated machete would go?
@trollberserker151511 ай бұрын
it will not go at all, it will be too difficult and expensive to keep it sharp
@soloproject9911 ай бұрын
I was actually kinda surprised with this turd 😂
@adammcguinness995011 ай бұрын
It didn’t bend in half like the super dodgey machete. That’s a bonus.
@adammcguinness995011 ай бұрын
@@trollberserker1515, I think it would be interesting. It would be no more difficult to sharpen than a regular serrated knife. Just more of it. Only the first 4” of the blade would be getting used, no need to sharpen the whole thing.

They arent bad for the $ i suppose. I wound up getting one to use w/ Jason Vorhees costume i did one year. Ended up using it for awhile afterward. Hekd up ok. Never been a fan of the saw teeth though. Ive found that i like for most of my tools to do just one thing. Lol
@soloproject9911 ай бұрын
Hey brother!! Glad to see you again!!
@mromatic172 ай бұрын
yeah i know the handle isn't that great but you're using it as an axe and a saw. its meant for slashing down over growth which it fantastic at plus its $6 so can't really bitch about it.
@rodneygibson481911 ай бұрын
It puts a glove on the skin or it gets the saw back again 😂

Lived in Mobile until I was 18, ran chain and rod with my dad in the mid-70's. Can confirm that everything that lives there wants to bite you. Dad said it "builds character"... Still think he was messing with me. Please sharpen these up some before whacking stuff -would make for a better video. Hard to comment on edge retention if it won't cut butter from go.

Thank you for your content! I believe you should not chop with a machete which is "duller than a ding dong". It will work just as a stick, telling nothing about the blade itself. No need to make it a razor - just a couple of passes with a file will make huge difference. I got my CS Royal Kukri duller than a ding-dong-wong-whatever. It was literally unusable. But when I got it sharp, I realized how cool is the blade and the steel.
@soloproject9911 ай бұрын
Most definitely agree with you! It had a useable edge on it but not as sharp as I prefer. Thank you for being here!! I appreciate everyone’s support and experience. Keeps me in check 😂 I should have spent 5 minutes with a file on this thing before actually testing it.
