Getting one of these tomorrow for a trunk lid ding! From what I've seen on this, for best results, let that glue dry for 4-5 minutes, then start the pull, but instead of a constant pull, pull some, then let it sit, then pull some more, let it sit. With the 5 minute set time on the glue, you don't want to over-pull, so get a good pull on the ding then back it off and see what you've got, it takes several times to get it perfect from every video I've seen!

I bought one of these kits yesterday. It worked great. $16.99 and the dents are 80% gone. No paint damage. Try it. If nothing else, you’ll have a new glue gun.

I just got this on sale for $12 and some change. I previously tried the pneumatic dent puller from Harbor Freight that was $75. For my particular application, this worked better. Edit: I allowed the glue to dry for 10 minutes between applications - doesn’t say that in directions.

Just used this kit today. It did actually work and pulled a ding out of my rear passenger door, but it took some paint along with it.

The surface area of the puller should not be larger than the dent/ding. Otherwise the force is exerted on areas that are not dented or dinged. As much as possible, the puller surface should be the same size or a bit smaller than the dent/ding. Also, that looks like standard glue; other kits have different types of glue sticks that, I believe, will allow more traction before breaking loose.

In short, you'd be accurate. What do you expect out of Harbor Freight on this class of tool? It'll work for the category of fails he's tested- but buying some better tools is probably suggested.

Would it be better to change up the glue sticks to the black strong adhesive glue stick?

If you wipe the surface first and hold it down for 10 seconds+ , youll get better results I think

Thanks for watching. I need to get my hands on another car to get more practice with it. I try using an alcohol based cleaner next time maybe will work better
