you should take your shredder apart and see how it works, that will not work because of the design of the hopper and cutting blades - thanks for subscribing!

because of how this is built, it will not work, it will simply clog the cutter - it has a small opening into the cutter blades and the bags will not go into that easily and will clog once they do - I also keep trying to find other uses for tis shredder, but because the narrow opening in the cutter, it does not seems to work on just about anything else - thanks for subscribing!

I get a lot of questions about the hopper, mostly if it will work or other materials, but it is designed n such a way it works best with branches and little else, I think they designed it this way as a safety feature that spinning disc is dangerous and very sharp - thanks for subscribing!

this will not work well for anything very short, the plunger will not push it into the cutters, I tried with bark, and it just collects in the bottom of the feed chute, it also as a very small thru hole as part of the cutter so the paper will not make it into the cutter thanks for subscribing!

I've never tried it, and there is a lot out there, and many colors, but oh so tough, I'm currently working on a way to cut HDPE into pellets like the big manufactures use, way easier to shape and form - still requires heat and pressure though - I'll post something if I get that worked out - thanks for subscribing!

Bucket thickness is greater than milk jugs and it seems to be struggling with those and ontinuously refeeding it through will drain a lot of power, wouldn't be my first choice.

It would make WAYYYYY more sense reselling the buckets. In my area buckets with lids go for $1-$2 dollars. Even without making money on them, they are so much more useful as buckets. It seems like a crime to grind them up

twist and roll up the cloth. It will give you a much better result.

I do not recommend anything other than long thin sticks like branches, the shute that leads to the cutter is a funnel that leads to a relatively small area above the cutter, so most things like straw/hay and cardboard will jam the shute and not get to the cutter, I've tried grass and bark without success, I have tried HDPE with some success, but it just gets sucked thru with very little cutting, and I have to cut in to relatively small pieces to allow it to get into the shute, and if I have to do that, what advantage is the shredder? - for items like you asked about would work a lot better in a shredder setup like a paper shredder, a long cutter, and the format of most commercial general purpose shredder - thanks for subscribing!

it would not work for coconut - the shoot going into the cutting blades is about as big as the size limit for the shredder so anything bigger will not pass thru the cutter - thanks for subscribing!

I was preparing to melt the plastic, its HDPE, when melting HDPE, you have to press the air out of the molten blob, having the HDPE in as small a pieces as possible makes it easier - in the manufacturing process, the HDPE starts has very small pellets for this reason - thqanks for Subscribing!

We have to buy expensive bags from the community. So if I could shredder every bottle I can get more empty bottles in one bag ;-)

@@snapwholeharborfreightreviews thank you so much! Just earned a sub friend. I was trying to find an effective way to cut cardboard into pieces for easier disposal. I noticed in my neighborhood when people leave boxes out in the front it rains alot and become sluggish. I thought to myself what's an effective way to dispose cardboard in wet weather?

I would not recommend it, it has a very small 'hopper' right where it feeds into the blade, there is no way to keep it flowing into this small hopper oriented in the correct direction, the first piece that goes down and says flat over that small hopper would clog up the machine so nothing would make it to the blades, its made for items that are long and narrow, like a branch, so you can start them into the blade from outside the device, and the blade will pull the branch into the blade - inserting many small, short branches will also have problems unless you keep feeding longer branches after them, and that will grab the small branches and pull them thru - thanks for subscribing!

@@snapwholeharborfreightreviews I have the same desire to use a wood chipper as a high volume paper shredder but your precaution is valid. Unfortunately, the “commercial grade” shredders from Amazon/Office Depot just isn’t cutting it…. pun intended.
