I love games just filled with white guys, white guy 1, white guy 2, white guy 3, they're all main characters I relate to, none of that acceptance shit, I want every main character to be masterfully written But make sure white guys wrote it, I want the game to be good But make sure only white hands had a hand in creation, I want the game to be historically accurate, fields as white as snow. Make sure you clean the rings off your eyes next time.

Go be a productive member of society rather than complain about a non-issue. Pretty insane of you to make this comment when the person who made the video is obviously not a white person and has no bias towards them. The WHOLE point of this is to stop making issues out of nothing. We don't have biases for or against ANY races, and we accept the game and art for what it is because it is based on HISTORICAL ACCURACY with the intent of IMMERSION. If you can't get over that or understand that, then see a therapist.

The thing is I would love a lot of diversity int he game, it'll take place in a big city so we could see a lot of other cultures and races. There could be French, Spanish or Italians maybe. Those uncultured journalists forget that diversity doesn't mean black people and non heterosexuals.

I know Charles the 4th died before the story of the 1st game but i've heard that he used to hang gypsies at borders . Also In 1697, the Emperor Leopold I, King of Bohemia, declared 'Gypsies' outcasts (vogelfrei); Romani men could be killed like animals. and this is 200 years later .... So if you are going to see a person of color in the game i don't think it is going to be friendly encounter. Also i have my full trust in Daniel Vávra - if he has the controll ( which he has) he is going to make sure that no BS like this will be in the game ...

It was a rough time, people were persecuted much more based on their religion rather than their ethnicity (although that too happened in some cases). There are roughly 0,04% of black people in the population of Czech Republic as of 2020, which really isn't much. And that's already waaaay more than there had been living here in the 15th century. If there were black people appearing at that time, it would be extremely rare, the language barrier would likely be huge, unless those people could speak either Czech or German, and they would most definitely not have random one night stand with village girls in a tavern. That's not what the society of that age was about. It was governed by religious dogma in most aspects and having children out of wedlock was a huge deal. Sometimes it could result in being shunned by not just one's own family, but the entire village or town.

I picture game journalists screaming "I CAN'T RELATE, I CAN'T RELATE" when a game doesn't have whatever minority group they're championing that week. It's such a dumb situation, there are a bunch of different ethnicities and people from various backgrounds but just because they're not the backgrounds and ethnicities they want to virtue signal about, they don't count.

Before I state my opinions here are some historical fun facts :D The history of Hungary is super interesting. Lots of nomadic Asian people settled there at different point in history. First the Huns which is where Hungary gets its name from. Then the Magyars and then the Cumans. As for Bohemia, during the time of the Roman empire Bohemia was controlled by a Celtic tribe known as the Boii. The word "Bohemia" translates to "Home of the Boii". Bohemia has been Celtic, German, and Slavic during different points of history. This isn't really relevant I just like to shoehorn in the fact that Bohemia was at one point Celtic anytime I can. As for my opinion, the only legitimate complaint I saw about diversity in KCD 1 was that the Cumans were all white when in reality they would have looked pretty Asian. IIRC the developers said the reason the Cumans were white in the game was simply due to a lack of resources and the Cumans always had a helmet on so you would only really notice after looting them. I think thats fine given they had a really small team making the first game. I like the idea of diversity in games where it makes sense. A period piece based in medieval Bohemia is not one of the places it makes sense.

You're not gonna believe this, but a synonym for white people (Caucasian) has 'Asian' in it o.O crazy stuff. It's called that because it was thought that most white people originated from the Caucuses & Caucus mountains around modern fat Georgia and Azerbaijan -- which are countries between Turkey, Ukraine, and Russia now. What you NEED to understand is that the Cuman Kipchaks had invaded Hungary, later becoming mercenaries, and by 1237, had called Hungary their homeland. By the time that the real life Skalitz was invaded in 1403, it is perfectly reasonable to imagine has been documented that those many *generations of Cuman warriors had since found native Hungarian women to have children with* -- HOW ELSE would they have been able to stay there for 8-10 generations??! They were very mixed, many assimilated into Bohemian life and culture by this time. They did NOT just come straight from Asia or Eurasia into Skalitz! Learn your history before you lecture 🤝

In KCD 1, there was one visible Cuman in the side quest and he looked Asian IMO.

By the time that the real life Skalitz was invaded in 1403, it is perfectly reasonable to imagine has been documented that those many *generations of Cuman warriors had since found native Hungarian women to have children with* -- HOW ELSE would they have been able to stay there for 8-10 generations??! They were very mixed, many assimilated into Bohemian life and culture by this time. They did NOT just come straight from Asia or Eurasia into Skalitz! Not to mention that their character models in the game DO look different from the locals, and the Kipchaks originally came from an extremely broad area across Russia/Asia/Mongolia. Learn your history before you lecture 🤝

Just to clarify one thing, by diversity and other ethnicities they mean Slavs(czechs) Germans, Hungarians and Cumans(Turkic). Yes for all Americans that may not know this we in Europe are not all the same, a Slav like myself is genetically and culturally different than a German.

I remember when KCD first came out. In 2018 it was one of the first games that journos were screeching that the game was not diverse. The first time journos did this was in 2015 (shortly after GG) with The Witcher 3, but funnily enough they were only complaining about the lack of diversity after they saw that the game was popular

There are black people in the KCD2. They are in the Africa and Arabic slave trade routes and bazaars. Sadly, Bohemia is not connected to either of the abovementioned places, at all. The best the game could do is picturing gypsies being shunned and/or persecuted.

I'm all for diversity and stuff, but if the world is based on a historical period, then the diversity needs to reflect that. You're only going to get a melting pot of diversity in modern and sci-fi games, but when we go medieval, the diversity involved quite frankly needs to actually make sense. I'm sorry, but throwing a native american into a sea of Europeans in the medieval era when we haven't even discovered that the landmass (known as America in modern times) even existed in the first place is the equivalent of modding the game to have furries/aliens/xenomorphs in it: you do you if you add it in yourself, but do know it isn't accurate to the setting, lol.

The diversity in question is historically accurate: you would probably find many different types of people in Kuttenberg, like the French, Germans, Italians, maybe some merchants from the east etc. etc. etc. European diversity is different from American diversity.
