I respect anyone getting their sponsors in, but this one feels a little off for someone as skeptical of the gov as yourself. Feels odd you’d willingly give them cameras inside your house & shop.

@@burkemccomb4039 IKR? This is the type of sponsor you'd think Cody would mock, not promote. Also, these can be easily jammed. You won't get an alert if the device can't communicate with the central hub.

The problem with Simply Safe is you can't run an offline only system and the terms of use allows them to hand your video and audio over to authorities without a warrant or subpoena.

Damn the second part is a HUGE problem. I've heard they can actually just watch your feed at any time without you even knowing. They aren't supposed to, but who trusts that? No thanks I'll stick to offline systems and good ol firepower.

Cameras can also be used against you. It’s not hard for law enforcement to get warrants for the videos. Some security companies will just give it to them. You also could be watched right through your own cameras. Some are easy for criminals to hack in.

Reminds me of my mother's camping box. Girl scouts were a big part of her early life. She had kit stowed to feed the family neatly packed within a plywood box. We did a fair amount of low budget camping back then. Minding three children, she had to be grab and go organized.

This was a common item among Scout troops. You might want to see what other designs are available. For instance, ours had legs that also acted as the carry handles. They were 2x4s that slid into a handle on each side at an angle. The only thing is, they were heavy to carry around.

We had these in the Boy Scouts. We had camp soap. Worked the same but basically the same setup. It wasn’t until after the scouts that I went camping one of my scout leaders who became a family friend. He had one with a simple small Folgers can with a percolator. So yeah. Glad to see it wasn’t all that different. I’m looking at building one in a more compact kit using a pelican case.

I used these when i was a boyscout. Ours had rope handles with removable legs. You could take two of the legs slip them through the rope handles so 4 people could carry it to were you wanted to set it up very easily. Also we used 3 stackable plastic tubs for washing dishes. Soap, rinse, sanitation. This is the way.

I've got a lot of this stuff from putting on a fishing camp multiple times a year for years. Glad I saved it all and added to it all these years. I have the triple burner fuel stove and 2 propane 2 burner stoves. I used to cook for 6 men on 5 burners and the fire with all stainless and cast iron. In the last year I've been cleaning and testing all the equipment and storing it downstairs in the house instead of my buildings. Now it's all about making my family as comfortable as possible through the coming struggle..

Two things I would recommend adding. An ulu knife which is very versatile if you learn how to use it and a p51 can opener which is simple, rugged and is far less likely to fail on you than any turnkey style can opener. Both are fairly lightweight and take up very little space.
