The Tale of the House of Styrene draws to a close. It's been an amazing adventure and I hope you have all enjoyed it, and maybe even taken something useful from watching this series.
I was graced with a beautiful day and, although it was swarming with runners despite the lockdown, the CA looked every inch the scale replica of the truck I was inspired by on Combat Crew's channel.
She is painted per a 1/35th model kit's box art which I believe to be some sort of response vehicle from a government department but I'm really not sure. Full story of the kit and box build is on this playlist - linked at the end of the video also.
• KingKong RC
This is filmed on my Samsung Galaxy S10+ in 4k 60fps using a Smooth4 gimbal, and is slowed down to 24fps in post. Except the woodland scenes which were shot at 30fps so run a little more 'normal' speed.
I did my best to drive in a scale manner, and I hope enjoy the mud and water.

It does not matter how long it took to shoot or edit this film, because it is utterly utterly beautiful. Thank you.

Awwww Stu thanks my friend. I am really proud of this film, the truck simply refuses to look shit on film much to my relief, and the soundtrack just pulled it all together. It was edited immediately on returning, because I knew it was good and that perhaps is a lesson for next time. Catch the vibe. A

What a beautifully shot video. The tone and tempo were spot on for the truck. The color tint in set with the background music gives the whole video a feeling of history and class tat is found in many serious documentary films. The precise way to celebrate a finale of an epic build series. The opening title scene was amazing, one knows right then this is going to be a gem to treasure. The camera orbiting around the truck capture so much of the scale detail of the truck similarly it captures the gorgeous landscape. This location is perfect for the truck. It seems this adventuresome driver is taking the road not traveled thru a highland prairie. The location is so scale the mud on the tires and taking the tread pattern looks real in miniature. Even the scale weight of the truck is represented at 1:21, the same earth taking tread bulges when she passes over. The rig is not only scale it seems to be robust and powerful. Watching her struggle then conquer the bog gives the viewer confidence that there is nothing impossible, and the triumphant romp and puddle splash proves it. Playing never lasts long, 6:03 proves that, the duty returns with more rough passage to endure. During this part of the journey the viewer begins to realize the work of the suspension. The way the rear suspension glides over the muck it is hard to believe it is on an RC truck. The next leg of the assignment takes our intrepid little truck to the scale scrub and thickets of this remarkable filming spot. Powering thru the blockages just like her full size 1:1 cousins. This tiny lorry doesn't let anything stop her on her mission. The frame at 8:34 proves that, along with providing an excellent opportunity to catch a screen grab. I did, what an astounding picture. The sounds of the thicket are incredible too. the crackle of the tall grass is a neat little piece of inspiration, Not sure if it was intentional or caught in post, no matter it belongs there right along with the reflections at 8:43 and the moss close up at 9:03 I wasn't sure about the section under the pines. Maybe it was a scale issue or the change in frame rate, I am no sure. Watching the rear suspension made up for it for me. The viewer can make hither own minds. Returning to the marshlands travel seems simple and trouble free until our courageous pint-sized leading lady encounters the final morass. A quagmire full of undulating muck and chasm like ruts. Undaunted she ventured on into fray powering through the frame twisting pathway until making the safety of the hard packed trail. As follow the little lorry out the viewers are treated to more amazing shots of the "House of Styrene". Sorry I got a little wordy but the comment need to try to be something worthy of this video. This is probably your best work so far. I mean it. I know I keep saying that but then you come out and raise the bar. So see, it's your fault not mine LOL. Thanks again for a great ride a long. Be safe Steve

Ha well spotted you! Yes the pine section was a different frame rate as the light dropped a lot. So it isn't as slowed down as the rest. Plus it was harder to drive and shoot one handed. I left it in for texture but yeah it's not really up to the standard of the rest. Good feedback 👍

I want to say that you are great. The car is made at a high level. But there is a mistake, I tell you as a person who speaks Russian. The machine is called "АВАРИЙНАЯ" and not "АВАРЙНА". It always amazes me that the British make mistakes where you don't even expect. Our alphabets are generally similar, you are not rewriting Chinese characters. Can't you redraw the icons normally? What do they teach you in schools. Do not worry after a nuclear war, everyone will play the polka dot, dance with bears, wear earflaps, drink vodka and LEARN THE RUSSIAN LANGUAGE !!!)))

Haha yes the error has already been pointed out. I copied a model kit box art, rather than learn a totally different language. Seemed more scale. I have no Russian speaking friends 😭. Especially not anymore. A
