Hunting the North Kaibab for the tiny Elk her that resides here is a labor of love and frustration, but we knew that before we started.

Thank you! I understand covid pushed a lot of people to spend more time outdoors and that includes hunting. It will be interesting to seenid peoples interest in it drops.

More hunters should be using a suppressor! That's a great and advanced choice starting off. Your choices in caliber and hand loads are spot on and a great choice too for first rifle in the game (you will get others soon). I'm a factory ammo guy. You have made all the right choices on the front end and obviously self studied it and made good decisions. I'm totally up for coming to spend a bit of time and share some tips too on the Elk front, including my method of breaking them down for pack outs.... You seem to have the right drive but there are a few things you could do that would improve odds.

I'm a big fan of the suppressor. I just with the tax stamp wasntsuch a process. I'm definitely tempted by some new rifles, and as soon as Brendan is old enough to get a tag.. Well it would be good to get him a lighter caliber. ;) We’re definitely interested in any insights you're willing to share. Are you on this side of the Canyon? I'm definitely just out here trying to scoop up what can learn as i go - so I'd definitely be interested in any help you could share.

I'll delete the number when you give it a like. That way I can chat with you or text. I'm in NM but I'm a full time Elk Guide for the last 9yrs in CO and NM with 128 successful Elk Hunts. I hunt full time from Sep-Jan and then I try to do personal hunts like Javelina and OTC public Land Barbary Sheep in NM. I'm mobile and could come do a weekend and linger on or something, especially after a spring Storm if we can time it and get a little snowfall

Man I wish… not my yea again. I am putting in for non-Premium unit's too… I think I'll be getting a UT OTC elk tag this year, but my brother did draw for a late rifle elk out by Flagstaff so I'll get to go help him with that.
